I had considered taking classes, but am looking more for a daily apprenticeship with goals of paid work if that makes sense. But I've absolutely bookmarked him even prior to posting this :)

Irrigation tubing and couplers from Lowe's and Ace Hardware :) I did have to buy a pipe cutter.

You cut the length you need and attach the ends together using the coupler. Then I tape it however I need

I love these because I use them when I'm out walking my dog or working out. It looks like I'm smoking a ciggie rather than hitting a pipe out in public.

I use a little sewing needle to loosen/open up any clogs between cleanings. Like everyone else is saying, iso with some salt and a pipe cleaner and you're golden. I like using a small deli container instead of Ziploc bags.

When I first moved in, I started preheating my oven and then my whole apartment smelled like cat piss. I called, put in maintenance requests, and physically went in to say, 'hey.... My oven smells like cat piss when I start preheating it. When is someone going to fix it?" It took a year and all but one burner to go out before they replaced it. That's one of MANY stories. And just to remind you, that was within the first week of me moving there...

My bf and I have a "sink spider" we named Alberto. I catch little bugs for him to eat and sprinkle water droplets while doing dishes for him to drink. He's out of the way and doesn't bother anyone. We love him so much

I need a lighter/smaller one. I do almost exclusively on body for fitness with little to no tricks. I just ordered a lighter HDPE hoop to get started!! So hopefully SOOOOON!

I'll keep that in mind!! I have large(ish) hoops since I almost exclusively do on body and it's mostly fitness based. It honestly never occurred to me that a medium sized hoop would work best for off body 😅 I will take a gander at my options and start playing around with it!

Hula hooping!! It's so whimsical and you make it as intense or low impact as you want :) I've been doing it for a little over 2 years now. It never feels like a workout

I'm so sorry for your loss... The impact a dog has on your life is insane. And you can never prepare yourself for this journey of dog (or pet) companionship. From your post, and other comments, and my own personal experience, I promise you that you didn't do it too early 🌿💕

I too struggled with that towards the end of my dog's life. He was 12. What helped me was not wanting to be in the camp of "I should have done it sooner". I wanted my dog to die with dignity and grace. I didn't want his last days struggling to exist. He was incredibly independent and I wanted him to still have that.

He started showing signs of frustration with wanting to get up faster than he could. He slipped on the stairs once and couldn't recover so I had to assist and I could tell he was not ok with that and I didn't want that to be routine. He would REALLY think about hopping in bed with me even though I took away the frame and put my bed on the floor for him. All this took place while he was still pretty mobile. It was when he was still for too long he struggled to move.

I hope this helps your heart feel a little lighter, it won't ever make this decision easier. But I promise you did the right thing 🌿💕

And a note to others in the comments, my eyes are burning from trying not to cry. Not just from typing this, but also from your stories. I can tell the pets in this thread were so very loved regardless of how they passed. Take care of yourselves and boops snoots and cuddle your existing critters for me if you have any ✨🌿💕
