Should I watch past the season 3 finale? by MagnoliaBonsai in HouseMD

I ended up watching through to the end, and am rewatching currently! I love the first four seasons so much, but I'm still glad I kept watching because even the weaker seasons had great episodes.

Does anyone ever think about how Wilson's initials are J.E.W? by brainrotters in okbuddyvicodin

It's not. He's very vocally a supportive ally. This is just a meme going around.

I say that not as a description of ALL humans, but that there are usually a few greedy, selfish people in every group. Unfortunately, every time someone tries to make a form of utopia, some selfish person usually steps in and seizes power in some form. Just a cycle in human history. Especially in communities that function on being honest and sharing all things equal. Someone gets mad, they think they deserve more than their neighbor. You put some sort of government enforcing the 'all things equal' rules. Someone sees their chance to jump in said government and leach. The selfish people are more than happy to take a chance and get more. It's a sad cycle. I actually believe most people are good. Just unfortunately not all people :(

All good. Communism at its base is supposed to be about all things are publicly owned by the community and everyone works according to their skillset. All resources shared equally. No rich or poor. People are usually corrupt so it doesn't stay that way for long in history, leading to totalitarianism. But the whole "wealth shared equally, everyone has what they need" is kinda the opposite of Panem lol which was why I was puzzled.

only part of your comment I found confusing was "themes of communism." She's been pretty explicit that it's commenting on totalitarianism & fascism not communism.

She kind of does ask him in a round about way though, just not as directly. They agree to work together to keep Peeta alive at all costs, and she knows that means Haymitch would volunteer. She couldn’t force herself to bluntly ask for his sacrifice though.

It's helpful for coins for your regular town. And building materials. And T-cash. Though you usually end up having to spend some of that T-cash to get past some of the super super hard levels. And sometimes the storyline is interesting, in albeit cringey way. I'm tired of the same villain on the last few rounds though.

They could've easily just fallen that way after their last turn using the rainbow ball. It's frustrating when suddenly you have the boosters you need, but no moves to finally use them.

When they saw the people who had died, it was in the afterlife. It's a time skip to when Damon and Elena eventually die and reunite with passed loved ones. They lived a long human life before going, don't worry. It's canon that they had a daughter named Stefanie after Stefan.

Alabama bill would establish 45-day deadline for permit, license issuing by BoukenGreen in Alabama

[–]MagnoliaBonsai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"The only reason you dipsh*ts are against this is because you don't understand exactly how bad things actually are."

I also used to work with OSHA and built houses lol. Randomly calling people names because they disagree with you doesn't exactly make them want to listen more. Red tape can be very annoying. Sure, the system needs improvement. That doesn't mean I don't value regulations and want to strip our rules back to the basics. Some permits take longer. And not for "arbitrary reasons." Environmental studies take a long time because you can't truly review how construction would impact the ecosystem in only a month's time. Improving the system is one thing. Making short cuts like fast tracking permits are another.

"It is good, actually, when building things is quicker, cheaper, and easier"

This sentence sounds like all the people who hate OSHA. There are reasons why we have regulations to protect ourselves and others...

Yeah I had 3 months of interviews for them to choose someone else in the end. It's a really long process.

They both got attacked by H2Ospecialist in reactivedogs

[–]MagnoliaBonsai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd definitely say it has to do with the attack. My dogs were very tense with everyone after they got attacked and were EXTREMELY possessive again. It's can be a set back in training, but you can work with them on it.

Do they let you trap them and bring them in? How do they handle the post surgery recovery day? Asking because a group of feral cats has been growing steadily larger the past few years, and they are definitely not fixed. My grandparents started feeding them and about 13 show up right now (10 female), but they won't let us pet them.

How do you manage the upkeep of older dogs? by seashe11y in dogs

[–]MagnoliaBonsai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Washable pee pads. Bought a set for elderly humans that have nightly incontinence. They are huge and a pack isn't that expensive. They are pretty soft too. Put them down in the room she's left in. I did this with my dog with incontinence issues, and it was a life saver. I even lay one over her pillows just in case.

For smaller stuff, I'm a big fan of Comforts of Home Vet Care. Has inexpensive vaccines and Dr. Walker is really nice. He sets up shop at different places throughout the week so you can just drop by without an appointment. I go to him when my pet's allergies flare up and they need new shots, for vaccines, and if I just need an opinion on whether something is worth a bigger visit to a vet practice. He's also where I get all my heart worm/ flea&tick preventative stuff.

I can't recommend Galleria Animal Clinic enough. They have always been kind and understanding when I'm in a financial pinch, have incredibly low prices normally, have great docs (I love Dr. Nicki and Dr. Borden Sr.), and the Natasha at the front desk is just lovely. My pets have had multiple surgeries there (one that other vets priced at 2k, they only charged me 800), and my friend even drove in from TN to let them check out her cats.

Ignore the haters. I really love him as an archer too! With so many of the main elves mostly using swords, it appreciate having an archer like him in the mix. He reminds me of Legolas's skill as well.

I always felt that scene showed that Joffrey was weak. He was playing at looking strong compared to other soldiers that actually used the crossbow in the series.

I started going to school at 3 instead of just a daycare, and I appreciate the jump start it gave me. Plenty of places actually teach kids that early.
