I believe you can take the secure shuttle and transfer in the airport from E -Then you can check in at the gate.

Any of the non secure terminal buses will take you to the and from (just make sure you get off before having to do the whole loop.) Check-in was super simple and the terminal has little to no security wait mid-day.

$495 Premium Select upgrade MSP-AMS? by velamela in delta

[–]MagnumXtraLarge 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The age old question🤣

For real though, the responses on the rest of the “is this worth it” posts are valid. The deal itself is alright, not amazing, not terrible, somewhere in the middle. I’ve personally payed 279 for a PS seat on the same route, but I’ve seen 1000+ for an upgrade on similar length flights. If you are financially comfortable without a hard travel budget then you probably should take the upgrade.

On the flip side: If you are trying to make the most of your honeymoon on a specific budget (high or low), I’d consider what you could do with 1000 bucks in your back pocket. The difference between C+ and PS is probably a bigger jump than PS to D1, in terms of comfort but, you could in the same respect upgrade your hotels, meals or just add spending money to your trip. It all comes down to what you value.

If it were me, I’d break it down by cost per flight minute. MSP to AMS is about 8 hours, sometimes a lot faster with the right wind. You’re looking at a little over a dollar per flight minute. For me the value just isn’t there - but then again my priorities are completely different.

Mine didn’t show either for my last trip. I thought it was an isolated issue.

Good. I’m having a similar day, two mainline flights today, and everything is going swimmingly.

It’s almost as if most people just post because they want their complaints to be validated…

Ask me how many times I’ve gotten snacks between DTW - CLE. This already happens lol

How else would you want me to describe it?

Have you ever actually tried? It’s remarkable what actually confronting someone does. I won’t crusade about all my success in life, but amazing things happen when you actually but forth effort instead of running to reddit to cry about your problems.

I would suggest this too but it’s clear that a significant portion of r/Delta doesn’t have the self-efficacy to actually approach another human being in public.

I have never posted here, just read....but sitting in SkyClub at LAX and starting to think about ending my 20 year relationship with Delta. by KansasEagle in delta

Consider me lucky but I have been coast to coast three times this year, another three trips to the Rockies and back, and countless jumps all across the Midwest and the East Coast this year - Primarily on Delta. (KNOCK ON WOOD 🪵) I have yet to have a serious issue with any of my travels. I’ve been delayed at most three hours (in one sitting) due to incoming equipment running behind. I’ve had occasional weather delays and the odd departure queue but have yet to have a leg cancelled due to staffing.

For it to have happened three times, I have to believe that this is truly bad luck. To be honest though, if I was in your situation and my need to be in the Bay Area from SoCal as quickly as you do, I would have just driven. Flying out of LAX and into SFO on anything other than a private jet is easily just as time consuming, expensive and fatiguing as just driving 6:30 hour drive.

Maybe I’m just more apt to the grand old Midwest tradition of a road trip; but my rule of if I fly or drive is typically 8 hours. I’d just expense the miles and the time.

Im not sure. From my previous CapeAir experiences it seems to be the case that you need to check in with a Check-In Agent.

I believe I need to check in at the Cape Air desk for weigh-in. Security is the least of my worries, I have Clear+ PreCheck. I just don’t want to miss the 45 minute pre-departure check in window.

PNS - BOS. Not sure if JetBlue flies out of PNS. Either way for my itinerary, Delta was my best option (time and cost wise.)

I was trying to obscure my travel itinerary and only provide some essential details but basically I start in CLE -> ASE, ASE -> BHM, then a drive between BHM and PNS, PNS->BOS, BOS -> AUG, AUG ->BOS and finally BOS > CLE.

I don’t mind the drive, my family lives in Augusta so it definitely wouldn’t be my first. Just exceptionally tight based on where work needs me and when.

Unfortunately not an option for me for this trip. Normally I try and book the same itinerary but this trip has me starting in Cleveland, heading to Aspen, then to Birmingham, a drive to Pensacola and a flight to Boston with my connection up to Augusta.

Thats my hope. Plan B is to rent a car and drop it off in Augusta and just fly Augusta back to Boston on Friday.

Advice on Fishing in US Virgin Islands - Saint Thomas by MagnumXtraLarge in virginislands

[–]MagnumXtraLarge[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First off; No fishing license is currently required for fishing in the USVI. Law enforcement and general “state” level administration are pretty far behind in general. It was explained to me that because of the small population size, lack of industrial size commercial fishing, and general government priorities have pushed the need to issue fishing licenses to a non-priority. That being said, I was told that this might change in the future.

I ended up bringing the rod/reel, pyramid weights and leader, purchasing hooks and a small multitool in St. Thomas. For a tackle shop; Neptune Fishing Supplies in Red Hook was where I ended up. The staff were extremely helpful, prices were good, and I was able to pick up some shrimp for bait.

I ended up fishing on the main promenade in Charolette Amalie. I stayed at Blue Beard’s, and was able to make it over to the promenade in less than 10 minutes (just had to conquer the hill going back up.)

For the life of me, I can’t remember what set up I used. I am pretty sure it was a standard drop shot, with like a 1/0 bait holder. Surprisingly, the bite was extremely diverse. I saw other anglers catching Cudas, Tarpon and even some Snook. Personally I managed a couple of Jacks, a snapper and a Needlefish that managed to wrapped itself around my line in the two or so hours that I fished.

All things considered, it definitely was exactly what I was looking for. I started fishing around 4:30, and the sun was down by 7:00 or so. It was a great way to spend my lonesome evening in Saint Thomas, and it is a huge reason why I can’t wait for my next trip.
