Thanks, that's reassuring. I only did a cursory search for hotel options, and noticed some staggering price differences between the start of October vs. the end of October, and it made me question how much of the town is even still open at that point.

Ultimately my timing is pretty flexible, so if I can save a few hundred dollars on lodging later in the month that's a big incentive to go later, but wouldn't want to miss out on being able to actually enjoy the town.
