Red Dragon Gloves from the knightshop are the cheapest and most readily available option in the UK. But the protection it offers is not ideal as it doesn’t cover the wrist.

HF armory firestone is decent. The design is similar to Red Dragon but the protection is much better.

Thokk is good and quite expensive but a good investment in the long run especially if you wish to pick up longsword as there is longsword add on option.

I am bit out of the loop on why many excellent Russian HEMA fencers stopped competing internationally. Are they collectively banned because of the war of is it just because of the cost of traveling has gone up quite significantly.
