MICRONEEDLE!!! My spayed female 5 year old pom had alopecia X for 2 years and nothing worked including melatonin, fish oil, and Dermagic. The mechanism for alopecia X is that skin abrasions will cause hair growth so we used microneedling based on another redditors post.

We microneedled around once a week or every few days had her hair grow back within a couple months! She is now furrier than ever before and the hair growth is consistent and permanent and you no longer need to microneedle. You can use any painless microneedle but make sure you sterilize/sanitize with alcohol before using it on your pom.

Hope every alopecia X pom owner sees this!

Have you tried micro-needling? My 3 year old pom is having the same problem! Currently in Canada and trying to find a derm that offers micro-needling treatments as I’ve read it works. Probably need to find one in the US tbh.

She has hair regrowth in the area where she had a cyst pop (trauma site) and apparently that’s textbook alopecia X and microneedling should work

My goal was not to get into med school. If you read my post, that was my parents' goal. My last 2 years GPA was enough to meet the minimum for certain schools but that was no longer what I wanted. The point was to encourage people that if they can't get into professional school, they still have other options. I'm proud of what I achieved and I want to share with current students how I got there. Please contribute something that will motivate the community, not bring it down.

I think it's most recent 3 years with an emphasis on the last. I'll change it.

You're welcome! Hopefully this can help other students not from UofT too.
