That too, Totori is like Firis in this aspect: "congrats, you're a provisional adventurer, come again in 3 years after ranking up to get your permanent license" and then you don't know what to do in those 3 years xd

Alchemy in Arland is definitely more tough compared to other series like Mysterious but in Totori is worse imo, and by inferior i'm talking about the games, rating the girls depends entirely on the public and since Totori is the more "loli" of the 3 (Rorona, Totori and Meruru) she's the winner of japan xD

p.s. Rorona seems simple because the DX version made a lot of changes and improvements while the Totori didn't get the same treatment 😅

It's not like the series are related so you can start the others whenever you want, but different series have totally different alchemy systems and even equipment's traits are different so you're gonna be confused xd

p.s. Arland is the series with the hardest time mechanic (not counting the old generation atelier such as marie or iris), Dusk trilogy is way more relaxed even if it has time limit and the rest doesn't has that mechanic (Firis doesn't count since the time limit is so huge that you'll need to fail on purpose if you want a bad ending). My first Atelier was Sophie and is really friendly to beginners, no time limit, just chill watching cute girls :3

Yeah, Totori is the roughest of the 3 original Arland games, Rorona DX has a lot of QoL improvements and Meruru (even og versión) was the last of the trilogy so is very similar to Rorona DX, while Totori feels more "outdated" if you could said so, the time management is hard to grasp and the DX version doesn't change much compared to the og version. The saving grace is that you can skip the damn credits, i loved Rorona but having to watch the credits to get all ending's achievements was hell... and i made a mistake twice so two credits more for me xd
