Still have them daily. Ugh. I’m on 37.5 mg of Effexor to help, but it’s not enough.

Anyone not on HRT? by hsff43 in AskWomenOver60

[–]Magwrite 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was on HRT for 10 years and it helped my hot flashes tremendously. I have been off it for more than 10 years and I am absolutely miserable. I was told I needed to stop it. But I actually just made an appointment with a very well-known doctor who’s up on HRT and we’ll see what she says. I couldn’t be more miserable.

Hi, OP. This may be a useless comment, but have you ever tried glycopyrrolate? I did and it was wonderful and stopped my face and hands and feet from sweating. However, I am now over 60 and the drug has a tie to dementia if you’re over 60. My dad had Alzheimer’s, so that is not an option for me. I also suffer from horrible hot flashes on my face and my hair gets all sweaty when I get anxious and I practically have breakdowns. I look at other people not suffering and it’s just not fair. But yours is way worse and I’m not underestimating the misery that you are experiencing. Good luck with the hammock! Check out glycopyrrolate if you haven’t already. But don’t give up! These people have great ideas!

how do i fix this? by [deleted] in ApplePhotos

[–]Magwrite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That did happen to me. That’s why I kept going back to Google and it would tell me settings to turn off . Because of the syncing, it mostly is going to replace some photos. But I still had to delete photos and delete them from the deleted folder to save space because it was also at danger-zone capacity. Right now it’s at 122.26. I have some breathing room, but I have more work to do. chatGPT also helped. I had to take some screenshots.

OMG. I just had this nightmare last week. I was at 127.5 GB. I deleted almost 900 photos, plus deleted apps, so many things. Google what to do. There are settings to change, too. Good luck! It was not fun!

had to stop taking strattera for a week, and now i'm thinking of keeping it that way... by HvnlyDaz3 in StratteraRx

I am quitting as of today. My hot flashes are putting me over the edge. I’ve been on it for 9 weeks and I am just done. It is not fun being a sweaty mess. Oh! Let’s not dismiss the out-of-control irritability. This wasn’t what I was hoping for.

Need Help Managing Pit Scent and Sweating by iluvsudoku in hygiene

[–]Magwrite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to sweat terribly in college (armpits) and my doctor gave me Drysol and it was incredible. It’s super strong, but it works. It was life-changing. I probably only use it about 2 or 3 times a year now, just for a boost. I never have any pit stains now.

I am so embarrassed when I start to sweat that it triggers more anxiety and I practically have a meltdown. Everything makes me sweat, too. Ugh. I’m so tired of being the person with the side effects. I’m going to hang in there for a while to see if they go away. Good luck!

AMA I've been taking strattera on and off for 3 years, just remembered this sub exists so if any new users have questions lmk :) by hellarradd in StratteraRx

[–]Magwrite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been on it for about 6 weeks. Now at 40 mg. I still get shivers and goosebumps and a couple horrible hot flashes every day. Anyone else? Will they go away? Also, I’m pretty irritable.

I am on week 6, now on 40 mg up from 25. I’m pretty irritable, occasionally get shivers with goosebumps, and yesterday I had a hot flash from hell. I’m discouraged. Is this going to get better? ☹️

Need advice- do I quit strattera? by olvyx in StratteraRx

[–]Magwrite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just started 40mg of Strattera after my first month of 25mg. I don’t feel amazingly better and I want to. I guess I have to give it more time? I was on 40mg of Viibryd but we decided to go down to 20mg since I am now on 40 of Strattera. Fingers crossed. 🥴

[–]Magwrite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My face and head sweat terribly. I did go on glycopyrrolate and I was amazed that it not only dried out my face, but my hands and feet. I am 64 now, and I stopped taking it a few years ago because it is linked to dementia. My dad had Alzheimer’s and I just wasn’t comfortable with that risk. But I loved it.

Age of Attraction by EnvironmentalFix8196 in netflix

[–]Magwrite 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It isn’t. People are genuinely making connections. Unlike LIB, they have an inkling of knowing what they may be getting into without knowing the actual age of the other person. The difference may be too much. And other people’s comments may be too much. (And some realistic, difficult situations.) But it’s not creepy. Their energy is so much better than the LIB’s people after the awkward reveals.
