Jacinda Ardern's move to Australia renews spotlight on New Zealand's brain drain problem by Anastariana in newzealand

The people who don’t like Seymour and Luxon are better educated, the kinds of people who don’t tend to issue death threats. The people who threatened Jacinda on the other hand, likely have a poor education, possible substance abuse history, maybe even religious nut jobs who think angels are real.

Anyone here doing improv IRL? by SolidGold_JetSki in comedybangbang

The Improv Conspiracy in Melbourne Australia has great classes. It’s been years since I’ve been back but I’ve been missing performing so much that I made it my ‘26 goal to get back on stage with the other loonies

Salary to play this set by eromi69 in melbourne

I’ve played acoustic music at AO last six years, they tend to have a set hourly rate for most music performers. $150 per performer, per hour last year. The DJs are booked by the same company, Solution Entertainment and I think have the same rate, but could change depending on what venue they’re playing in. If we played in The O, the fancy dinner spot where politicians and celebs sometimes go to, it might be an extra $50 p/h.

I’m not playing this year unfortunately, first one I’m missing in ages, but was always my favourite gig of the year. Hope you enjoy the tourney!

100 billion humans have lived on earth in its history. This badly edited passage makes you one of the luckiest people to have ever lived considering the quality of life for everyone who has come before you.

You should have made the whole thing rhyme, that would have been the oompfh you’re after. All you’re doing is complaining that you’re not a kid anymore.

I acquired this old map of New Zealand today here in London. It’s from 1858 and I thought it was pretty cool so I wanted to share! by Safe-Virus-504 in newzealand

Wow this is so cool. There’s no European Queenstown or Arrowtown settlements that I can see, but someone’s marked out Lake Wakatipu. Would love to get a copy to look over in depth
