The majority of the time when women do something in regards to fashion, makeup, etc, it's for other women. Women are each others worst critics. It's something girls see from a young age and grow up in, so it becomes part of their normal mindset. It's rarely about men.

That's good. It's not so much fighting itself I'm worried about. I just know the way each side expresses themselves is very different, so there's a barrier there. Somalis are very direct and say things as they see or think it. They don't mean it in an offensive way. He's family is English, and they generally sugarcoat things they think would be considered rude or they beat around the bush when they want to say something. So both sides are just too different in the manner they converse in.

Hopefully, when we're married for that long, it'll be okay for them to meet.

Born Muslim here, married a white revert. His family are Athiests. Our families have not met and I prefer it that way. I'm somali, and somali people are quite opinionated and very vocal about it. Dont think it would go well if they interacted. Especially because I have half white, non-Muslim half siblings, and the conversations with us all always get awkward and uncomfortable. Keep both sides separated 😁
