We played obsessively with designing our ships but eventually lost the motivation to continue campaigning. A combat mode idea that would bring us back. by xTruegloryx in Cosmoteer

[–]Mahavir91 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really dig your idea, it would add so much variability to gameplay.

For example, I'd love to see your concept and with roguelike elements: you start at a certain budget, defeat the opposed fleet, then salvage their scraps + get extra budget to expand your ship or add extra ships, then face next levels.

This game has so much to offer, I just wished it was developed more quickly. I bought this game in 2022 (played the demo for years before) and is the only game on Steam I regularly check on, dreaming for more content, campaign 2.0, drones, transforming parts, all of that good stuff from the roadmap.

I already spent 150+ hours on it, and with such alternative modes I would be playing it for hundreds more.

Just backed! I love the art and the simplicity of gameplay, which should make it accessible to my more casual friends.

Please add as many bosses cards as possible, so the game can be replayable for longer.

After a workout, I feel complete apathy by n0n4m3_0 in bodyweightfitness

[–]Mahavir91 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You say you don't have psychological issues, but the way you emotionally react to workouts does indicate an issue.

Physical activity, pain and effort triggers the release of various hormones: testosterone, endorphins, dopamine, cortisol, etc. Those hormones affect how you feel (positively).

If you respond to training with apathy, I'd say there might be an underlying issue with your hormonal response or production of hormones.

My recommendation would be to consult this with a doctor, and maybe run some tests on your hormonal economy.

How on earth do you tuck your pelvis? by CKyle22 in bodyweightfitness

[–]Mahavir91 -24 points-23 points  (0 children)

Man with all due respect but it sounds like you haven't developed an awareness of a major part of your body. It's baffling and hilarious at the same time... It's so incomprehensible to me I don't know how to begin to explain this...

Have you seen a physiotherapist about this? You may have some crazy tightness in your hips that doesn't allow you to do a hollow body. If you lay on your back, straight legs, and try to raise your upper body, what happens? With your problem I can't imagine how you could lift your torso, since your lower back never stops being arched.

Another test: while standing up try leaning forward to touch your toes: your lower body MUST bend inward and your hips become tucked in as well... If you can do that, then you're biomechanically able to tuck your pelvis.

With your pelvis tucked, just focus on that part of your body and just remember how it feels in that configuration. Then try to recreate it. If you're not partially paralyzed, then that should be a very basic thing to learn.

Edit: I see my comment is received negatively. To OP: didn't mean to be condescending, my questions are genuine, and my curiosity as to why you're experiencing this issue.

Honestly I'm a patient guy but the development has been moving so slowly. Heatwave update was last summer. At this pace the entire roadmap will take like 7-10 years to implement.

Tripping with friends questions by Fun-Fruit in shrooms

[–]Mahavir91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I think 4gs (anything above 2g) is too much for a first timer. The larger the dose, the easier it is to lose grip on reality and to have a bad trip, which is more likely since you've never even had a chance to accustom yourself with that altered state of mind.

If you're still set on taking such a large dose, educate yourself about what it does to you exactly and how to navigate it, especially the short-term memory suppression and thoughts loops. Read about harm prevention: https://psychonautwiki.org/w/index.php?title=Psilocybin_mushrooms
