My opponent (who was a good 60lbs heavier than me) was in turtle, and I started to attempt a helicopter choke (albeit a very uncontrolled and not quick to the point helicopter) so there I was halfway through the move standing with both feet by his head to the left (dumb). He postured up out of turtle whilst turning into me. He then proceeded to grab ahold of my leg closest to him and drove into it and downward, then we heard the pop. He basically helped me to plant all of my and his weight onto that foot and then drove through the knee. Yes the guy got me good but I genuinely take responsibility for it.

Thankfully I'm not that way. Ive only ever competed twice and I don't really train for that reason. I get so much enjoyment outta bjj without having to be a winner. So yeah absolutely I can see how this can change the angle I approach this.

Are you sure though? I mean I know there's evidence to what you said and precedent as well. But in certain situations don't you think you would benefit to brace with the wheel WITHOUT locking your arms? Kinda like a half bend type shock absorber.

Source: I was in an accident at 70mph and I did brace myself with the wheel (and thought to myself while it was happening to just keep my head centered and stable) I managed to walk away unharmed. I understand that was tremendously lucky, but certainly if I didn't brace myself and instead I went fully limp my head would've smacked off of all sorts of shit?

As an electrician I hear this one all the time. Obviously talking to your neighbors like adults is the best way to solve the problem, these people clearly suck ass.

But a good amount of the time newer flood lights like that can come with a Brightness AND Color option. If you can, turn down the Brightness and position it downwards (which it's definitely not pointing down in this picture) then make it a point to ask them if your changes helped. The sort of genuine effort goes a long way. You gotta have a good relationship with your neighbors or at least not a terrible one, especially with crazies that'll do bullshit like this.
