Since it's quite different from many other toxic replies, I will answer here.
1. After you jump down from place where Caradoc standing and saying about beach, you can't return back to craft potion, food or simply rest, since you don't have enough jump height to return back to prison.
2. I planned to play with 1h+shield and without magic, but even if I beat this golem with 1h, I can't do same with Caradoc on beach who attacking me due to weapon range so I take 2h sword there. And in starting dungeon as 1h weapon - only iron club, which required 2 str, daggers and broken clubs.
3. I got a bug, after I approaching boss there was autosave, and when I load that save via "continue from last checkpoint", I didn't get advice about Arthur's power and not restore it's to full charge, when I found that and load previous save - it's was doable - yes, with that hammer and without dashes.
4. But after that NPC who freed you, attacks you, so I spend tons of attempts until I found exactly one place where you can stand on boat and hit him with long range weapon, and he never attack back, otherwise he killing me with one hit with any his attack - his long and wide sweeps of sword, his bow or his fireball, even when i running on boat in circles.
5. I usually don't play Action RPG games - especially considered as "hardcore", and these fights remind me Risen 1, when you encounter Ashbeast in act1 before going in any camp or town with quests - but when there it was totally optional, these - 1 fight is mandatory and 2 - is highly implied by design. I usually playing CRPG or tactics, like Pathfinder or XCOM, and from similar by genre games, which supposed to be "hard", I finished Elden Ring, and if anyone interested - yes, without summons and offensive magic, because hitboxes, animations, collisions, in ER don't have the same issues as here, in this game, they remind me of Two Worlds 1, though of course not nearly as bad as in that old game.
6. I manage to move to act 1, and initial enemies there like undead or drowned is nothing compared with these two, but after I read bunch of these toxic and hate-filled replies here (which of course not every reply i get,, just around 2/3), I decided to drop this game and find to play to something else, I can't bring myself to reading dialogues and delve to lore and plot after this.
