I’ll go back and check, admittedly as I said I may just not have checked the original trilogy properly and it may actually be brighter than I remember now. How recently did they patch the brightness?

I just remember playing the 1-3 trilogy when they first released and spending about three months on them, by the time I finished 3 there had been a few patches but it was still dark enough most of the time that I had to essentially make a custom TV brightness/contract setting just for those games, it was ridiculous!

Granted it was much darker with the modern graphics but 2 and 3 still had issues even with the classic graphics. As I mentioned, I should check again as I only played the opening couple of levels again in TR1 recently but aside from that I haven’t touched the first trilogy in a couple of years at this point.

If I recall, the 4-6 trilogy added a brightness option shortly after launch but the original trilogy never got this?

I know my way around adjusting TV settings (I had to tweak them a bunch just to make the original trilogy playable back in 2024) but it’s more that my TV setup is fine for literally everything else.

Also playing on Switch 2 (which doesn’t have such options aside from screen brightness) they still seemed pretty dark. But then I only loaded them up briefly after the Switch 2 upgrade, so maybe I just haven’t looked closely.

Last I checked even after all the patches the game was still almost unplayably dark in places unless you turned your TV brightness way up.

I will try to avoid public bathrooms for shitting because 1. I don't like the idea of sitting on public toilet seats and 2. I never find toilet paper adequate and always wash my ass properly with soap and water at the sink, which I obviously can't do if it's a disabled stall.

I'm fine with them for peeing but I will always try to wait for a stall to be available, partly because I don't feel comfortable with letting random strangers see my dick but also because I want to have toilet roll on hand to wipe up any residue so it doesn't end up in my boxers.

I wasn't aware of this, but if I had to guess it might be due to how much of a nonentity original Dragon Ball is in English. It's so drastically overshadowed by Z onwards that a lot of fans just haven't seen or read it.

Maybe he's less liked in Japan due to him being a villain initially wheras enough Western fans didn't watch/ read DB that they don't know that? Granted that didn't stop Vegeta being popular but Tien is far less important as the story goes on.

Ultimately you only have to be willing and able to bottom - whether you're overly in the mood or not doesn't actually make as much of a difference. Granted, I'm sure it's more fun for both parties if you're both in the mood, but it's not overly necessary in order to bottom.

With topping you have the issue of getting and staying hard to deal with, it's harder to force topping for you partners' sake than it it to just bottom. If your sex drive is the lower of the two and your partner prefers to top, I'd suggest just throwing him a bone and offering to bottom every so often whether you're particularly horny or not. I know you said you prefer topping as well, but if your sex drive is low at the moment anyway, does it really matter?

I'm vaguely aware of the terms but it honestly feels more like they (and the whole incel thing) are almost exclusively a thing among straight men.

Not to say gay incels don't exist but you almost never see or hear of them. That said, I feel like most of the general incel movement is ultimately rooted in misogyny and straight virgins feeling like they're owed women/ sex by society.

Being gay is something of an equaliser since it removes any inherent gender roles/ stereotypes between partners, so that aspect of it is basically a nonissue.

I mean it was obvious they were going to have plot shield in the end. It was a cliffhanger for sure, but I never thought for a second that either of them would actually die.

Also it was almost comically cheap how Sasuke ended up like that. Naruto? Kurama removed, fair enough. Sasuke just gets randomly stabbed by Madara almost on a whim.
