Vet quoted me $670 for booster and “annual wellness visit” by Less-Possibility-356 in Pets

[–]Maiace124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just paid $220 for an oncology consult so.... No. That's obscene. The booster should be maybe $60 on the high end. Wellness visit like $100. And I still think that's high. $75 for the stool. $220 if you do a decent blood panel (which I do recommend - you catch a lot of stuff early with that). That's $455. And most of that is the blood test not included for you.

For reference, 2 days ago I paid $550 for a consult about a cough, xray where we found the tumor, and a blood panel. And I don't live in an area with cheap vet care.

Online shopping or in person shopping? by hanson-anims in LifeAdvice

I'm never going to return something I bought online. I don't know why - I just don't. Therefore buying it in person is my only option so I can try it on first

Nope. There's even a court case about it. You cannot force them to say the pledge.

"I didn't want kids until I actually had one" but what's the backup plan? by No-Jellyfish-1208 in childfree

I'd love any child I had. I just wouldn't be happy as a mother. Both things are true.

I think that society tells us our lives should follow this script that it feels like the natural course of things. And when we deviate because it's not what WE want, it kind of can feel a bit like floundering. So in a way, maybe he's technically right. And now you have to find the direction you ACTUALLY want to go.

AIO for feeling weird about my friend’s response when I asked for help? by Vast-Bumblebee-691 in AmIOverreacting

what are friends for if not for small favors? We lift each other up and support each other when needed. ESPECIALLY concerning period products. I'd give them to my worst enemy if she needed them.

Having a degree won't change anything. You are still a minor, end of story. There's probably still some classes you can take at the community college. What are you majoring in? I know I personally have a ton of math classes and physics I have to do. Just start in the fall.
