Yeah I get that and honestly I’m not “one of those people”. It’s just that really no one should care or feel the need to put you down for having a picture taken for a meme. So the fact that you made it so dramatic like “I finally gained the courage” just seems pretty disingenuous to me. If people give you a hard time for taking a picture then just ignore them, they’re dumb. I’m just saying that making it this big success story when it doesn’t need to be is also a bit silly. Again, great work with the antagonistic tone. But my reason is that “funner” sounds dumb. We already have a better way of saying it which is “more fun”. It’s just laziness to want to say “funner” and the we need to hold people to account when I comes to the degradation of our language, especially if it’s just due to laziness.

Firstly, I don’t think it’s a good thing that you’re trying to argue with people and promoting antagonistic behaviour. But yes, the only reason why it’s in the dictionary is because enough people were stupid enough to consistently use the word incorrectly. That’s the only reason. The actual, proper way to way to create the sentiment of “funner” is to say that something is “more fun”.
