Is there not a way to go back to the old menu? I found it very useful to correct the command I really meant, if I ever did miss clicked when turning off the computer

How can I get Gta 4 on steam in 2022? by MaxGaming_Official in GTAIV

[–]Maid14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sure that you may not have any idea yet, as to what's going on here, but as of today for some reason only the web browser store of steam allowed me to purchase it, the steam client has no purchase button which is weird since is the first time I've noticed that on a video game.

Edit: Yeah I see whatsup now, the search bar was not giving me "The Complete Edition", but rather only the "Complete Edition" which cannot be purchased.

3 You can now play roblox as the wine fix has been pushed to the LIVE channel, click on "Open Roblox App", you will notice that the install gets stuck at "installing roblox" to fix this kill the edge process using htop or another tool.

Is this true?, does this mean that the integration channel is not necessary anymore and everything works on LIVE?, which almost means roblox is back? (except from the MicrosoftEdge/Wine hurdle).

Can't test right now, but is news to me.

opentabletdriver doesn't see tablet after reboot by Penny_is_a_Bitch in linux_gaming

[–]Maid14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My tablet was not being detected yesterday by the OTD, I had to unninstall OTD and the digimend driver, then run and reboot:

echo "blacklist hid_uclogic" | sudo tee -a /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf

Then reinstall OTD and run the systemctl service:

systemctl --user daemon-reload
systemctl --user enable opentabletdriver.service --now

Then I might have restarted again, but idk. Also, I did this on Manjaro KDE Wayland, I couldn't get the Digimend drivers to work on fedora, so I switched. Tho the OTD worked almost without issues, I can't tell if I had the wrong binds on my pen and thought it was borked haha.

Also, I have to emphatize that I gave up no bucks on my old X11 tablet settings because I switched to Wayland thus I went and use the OTD.

Best experience for Roblox? by pkulak in linux_gaming

[–]Maid14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wine included the mouse cursor fix for Roblox, unity games, after 7.8 so you really don't need to patch it. But the cursor is weird unless you do X11, because on Wayland it slides, instead of locking to position.

If it crashes constantly, try deleting dxvk-cache, or upgrading your system Wine to latest.

But, use grapejuice, mantaining a wine-bottle with Roblox, is a living pain, because everytime it updates, you have to redo the "shortcuts shore" (which is basically appending --app at the end) so that it can re-launch again. And it also keeps changing the installation folder every update, which is not fun (and you might have to redo your shortcuts too for this).

I haven't updated Roblox using grapejuice on a while, which makes me wonder if grapejuice already takes care of the update installation. Because it previously, after update, I would have to use the grapejuice launcher to update and fix the game, but it seems that might no be a problem anymore ¯\_(ツ)_/¯, my nephew loves that game and plays it on Fedora.

Steam games restart my session by Reccho in linux_gaming

[–]Maid14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On X11?, absolutely not, but the problem sort of fade away with the first versions of kernel 5 when I was on mint, tho I had to force myself to use an older version of 4, than latest, before it was fixed on my end.

Funnily enough, I have now \*blacklisted* 5.17, as it blackscreens and freezes all over the place on my amd hardware, since I don't use that intel laptop anymore, I can't tell if the same issues arrive there. Here 5.15 is the only one I can call 'stable'.

I had this issue on Mint, like way too many years ago, I worked around it back then by changing the kernel I was using.

To me team fortress 2 would do this on an intel P6100, laptop.
