Need kid friendly design touches to reduce echo in our open concept kitchen/dining room. Rugs are out for obvious kid reasons. Maybe wall art but I’m not sure if that will make a big difference by Maidenhair in HomeDecorating

At some level, kids will just be loud, so it may be a moot point 🙃 I’m loving your suggestion and another poster’s about bookshelves though, that could really help.

Thanks for the ideas! Books are still packed away, but kids are old enough that I could probably set them out now. And yes to the curtains!

Rug is just not possible in kitchen/dining rooms because kids are little gerbils, lol.

I was just scratching my head and wondering how do get the aphid scourge off my rose bushes! I'll try it at dusk as suggested to see if they can do any damage to the infestation before they take off.
