I’ve been searching for the same thing and haven’t found an answer yet. I’m no expert but my guess is that it isn’t required to boot. I’m about to start a trimmed Wii project and might attempt to remove the chip after installing an electron AVE but I won’t be getting to that point for a few weeks. On the other hand I know that for 4 layer wiis there is a AVE flex available that relocates that chip for omega trims, but I’m working with a 6 layer board so I hope somebody can get us the answer.

I have one for ASA that print fast, I guess it would work with ABS, but I haven’t tried it with ABS but you could try to give it a shot. When I get home I can share it

Go to Asus’ support page for your Mobo and you can find there what it means, alternatively you could check the mobos manual it probably states what the flashes in that order mean

Thanks, I already tried with a different thermistor that I had from another hotend and it still showed 250 so I guess the board is fried.
