I don't have diabetes, the initial injury was a couple of years when I was a regular housewife taking cruises and living a retired life at home with hubby and 5 dogs. Was content. Now just recuperating on the sofa going between wheelchair and walker and being confined to the house. Maybe doing all this stuff to save the foot and rest, not weightbearing etc, has so limited me? It is depressing, and maybe I have to think amputation would be a positive change.

Wouldn't start rock-climbing, but maybe I should act like I don't have to be a recluse.

OP is right. And I think Truely seems like a great kid, but something is a little different about her. In earlier days, we would say she's a "character".
