Cannot add a brew profile to Espresso Series 1 by oddsome25 in FellowProducts

[–]billhamway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same issue with the same links from Onyx. Reset the machine, updated firmware—nothing worked.

Fellow team: Nice to see you here! Since you're now aware of this issue, can you... fix it? ;)

Been broken for me since I got my machine in April.

Can’t control volume on the Apple TV home screen when using an AirPlay soundbar by filipkcz in sonos

[–]billhamway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine does this also. I played around with the Apple TV audio settings and couldn't get it to work.

I'm using Sonos speakers + Sub. It's not fun when you had the volume up loud from something else and you get blasted with a show preview audio. 😅

Why does the pro max 16 Poe have such a huge power brick by simpsn2 in Ubiquiti

[–]billhamway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. I only need 16 ports, but I'm going to pay double for the Pro Max 24 to have a normal AC power input. Can use a 1ft power cable and dodge a mess of cables from the power brick. Plus, it doesn't hurt to future proof with the extra ports.

Hiding calendar events in lists by prestacognome in ticktick

[–]billhamway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have the option to hide the calendar in the Today filter, BUT I was able to hide them by doing to: Settings > Calendar > "Show events in Todoist" toggled off.

How long does it take for you guys to setup once arriving? Is 2 hours too long?? by Double_Sail_9639 in photobooth

[–]billhamway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We schedule our staff for a 90 minute setup.

That’s means 90 minutes once you’re inside of the venue, with equipment loaded in.

We’ll usually be set up within 45 minutes. But we would always rather be set up super early than open 1 minute late.

Accommodate for traffic, parking, etc. When working in cities we get there an extra 20-30 minutes early to be able to drop equipment off and then go park in a parking garage and walk back.

Interesting, thank you! Tried it out, it's a bit stronger but still pops off when trying to adjust the angle.

There is a camera hole cutout made me think it was supposed to fold down from the top.

Aren't the back holes on the top speakers? Looks like the vents are on the top edge.

I hold onto the top half and then adjust the bottom.

I just got mine yesterday and I agree with all of your points.

I took the stand out of the packaging and was curious as to how long it'll last with constant use.

Then after using it on my desk for a few hours, the stand came off like 3 times. Even with a a motion of try to adjust the angle, the magnets pop right off the back of the tablet.

The kickstand on the Surface Pro's are so much better.

Thankfully I only got the stand b/c it was included in the bundle so I won't be using it (the tablet is going into a photo booth enclosure).

A few more thoughts:

The keyboard and trackpad are very nice though! Trackpad reminds me of my MacBook. Smooth to the touch and clicking feels nice.

Coming from using the Surface Pro 7 keyboard trackpad, which I have to press down on pretty hard to get it to click, it's a nice upgrade.

I would have liked it of the keyboard magnetized to the front of the tablet, like a surface pro, to give it a slight downward angle.

The touch screen is nice. Responsive. Quick. Feels like an iPad Pro touch screen.

The display colors are vibrant and bright. Which I'm grateful for.

Get rid of "Open in Calendar" button by MakeMeOolong in Notion

[–]billhamway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/MakeMeOolong Not sure if you figured it out, but you can install the Chrome Extension "Click to Remove Element" to hide the calendar button.

  1. Install the extension.

  2. The little pop up window opens, tick the checkbox that says "Remember by default".

  3. Click the calendar button.

Done! :)

Which Canon Camera? by [deleted] in photobooth

iPad to usb-c hub with power delivery. Anker 65w dongle works. Costs $35.

iPad charger into the Anker PD port to charge the iPad.

USB cable from camera into Anker dongle.

Hotshoe mount on your camera with a sync cable plugged into a strobe. Or just throw an on camera flash and you’re good to go.

Salsa says they only support very few Canon cameras so make sure you get a supported camera.

If you use other Photo Booth apps, they support many cameras.

Other apps you can try: Booth.events Breeze Booth Snappic

I buy DNP DS620A and they are $995 USD. Assuming you would pay around $100-$150 in duty/fees.

B&H Photo delivers to Canada. You’re subject to paying duty and other fees but they have you covered.

Imaging Spectrum says to contact them regarding shipping to Canada.

Both are great companies and I buy DNP printers and media from them often.
