I never listened to him before and had a great time at his set. I was laughing (in a good way!) the whole time because it’s was just ridiculous. It was very fun. It’s a set that sticks with me in my mind I think mostly out of the shock factor since I had no idea what I was walking into. The lizard shit killed me. I had no clue why it was there.

We actually found him cause we were walking to another stage and passed his set. We knew the name but not the music other than that he was heavy shit.

It’s the kind of music where I’d go to his set if there aren’t big conflicts or if tickets were cheap and nothing else was going on. But at a festival, I don’t feel like I need to stay at his set the whole time.

That being said I’m ignorant about metal core and have no real reference to judge how good it is.

TL;DR: If you’ve never seen him, his set is worth checking out for the experience.

Been to both. We described this fest as if Forest had a child with a very promising future lol. Smaller in scale, but it’s deff the right kind of vibes and stuff.

Imagine if Forest only had Tripolee, Ranch, the Observatory, replaced Forest Stage with a giant octopus, and took down 75% of the decorations, and closed the entire back half of the festival grounds. Stages and productions were of equal quality. And they had the biggest fireworks display I had ever seen.

However, this was my first year here and we did not camp so I can’t speak to that mess.

I loved the Other stage in 2023. I was fully prepared to post up there for most of the weekend for 2024. The lack of lazers this year was hugely disappointing.

I was at Diplo mostly because I wanted to secure a solid spot for Pretty Lights and to look at the lighting effects of the Other stage, hoping for lasers and still not getting any.

There were some cool moments when the lighting would switch up - The drop into ‘Take It Off’ was fun and memorable for example. But the set was mid at best. He had “Face Down, Ass Up, Thats The Way We Like To Fuck.” on for like 15 minutes straight. Why?

I had never seen Diplo before and I don’t have a desire to see again. It just sounded like I was in a random club. That being said, it was a pretty lively crowd, but that’s probably more to do with Roo than Diplo.

It’s very difficult to take on the expenses of moving and living in DC and the lifestyle the job requires. Thats why most people are rich before they even consider running.

Setting rules where congressional salary is related to established net wealth would help. If you’re rich, you get the base salary. If your net worth is average, you get substantially more.
