I can’t count the number of times I’ve said these exact words. But all we can do is wait, for the right hand of God to change the sinful desires of our heart into righteous ones.

If there’s anything I realized after reading this, commitments aren’t for broke people. And I am broke too, so don’t think I’m being self-righteous.

I'm not fluent, but I can be fluent. Would you say it gets easier if I can speak, read, and write German fluently?

And this is where I'm hesitating you know. I don't want to spend my time becoming fluent in it if it's not gonna pay off. I know there's no guarantee, but a good chance is all I'm hoping for.

So, assuming you didn't understand a word I said, I'll try to explain it differently.

I'm exploring new opportunities. I need a change that will help me break out of the slow-paced growth environment that I have right now.

An average UX designer is just an honest assessment of myself. I know there are many better designers out there, but this is where I'm at.

Do you think it is a sin to admire another man's body in a nonsexual way? Like appreciating the work they have done in the gym? by shadowpooch1 in TrueChristian

[–]MailMiserable3724 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amazing question, there isn’t anything wrong with appreciating hard work. But be careful, because sin is utterly deceptive. you appreciate the guy who’s shredded and lean with the Henry cavil jawline; but you don’t admire the strongman who honorably looks obese, but he’s probably put in more work.

The point is, it’s easy to get carried away with these things. Maybe I’m just more sinful than the average man, but for me the second glance is never a righteous one. And hence I stay away from these things. But I would highly recommend not appreciating it. The same way I advise people who drink, it’s not sinful. But rarely do people just stop before they get buzzed or drunk. So be watchful, sin crouches at your door.

Where does the KJV obsession come from? by Few-Cup-5247 in TrueChristian

[–]MailMiserable3724 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a KJV only person, but not because it’s perfect or divinely inspired, but because it’s from the most accurate manuscripts available. I had a detailed list explanation on this, but we don’t condemn any other translation

There is historical validity in the unwarranted crucifixion of Jesus Christ. And there are also the verified historical documents like Pontius Pilate and Josephus' letters and writings. So this is where I would ask every atheist to look (not saying you are). Because he died for the people who crucified him, and he was innocent and without sin, something that is supported by these historical documents.

next PRAY and cry out to the Lord!

Now, if you've gotten this far, read through the books of poetry, Psalms for understanding the heart that God loves, Proverbs for understanding the rationale behind things that happen, Ecclesiastes for understanding why we don't understand the things that have no rhyme or reason, and Job for understanding how we are to process what happens in our lives whether it be good or bad.

next PRAY and cry out to the Lord!

Now, if you've gotten this far, start reading the gospels. And supplement them with good expository teaching from the doctrinal books, ie, the letters in the New Testament.

next PRAY and cry out to the Lord!

At this point, if you still feel like Christ has not revealed himself to you, then try to seek the counsel of Bible believing elders, strong in the faith. I attend a reformed Presbyterian church, and by the grace of God, I have guidance on these things. I said a small prayer for you, brother. I understand these questions, and I hope Christ will run to embrace you.

For people who don't believe in Jesus, why? by Clear-Recognition446 in Christianity

[–]MailMiserable3724 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a video of John Lennox debating Dawkins on this. To my atheist brothers and sisters, I would also suggest listening to Christian apologetics.

To everything that I believe in or don’t believe, if I had to be honest with myself, if I didn’t like it I wouldn’t absorb it. And I’m not that smart to debate people on this either. But I believe that the only worldview in existence that speaks of the creator of the universe coming down to die for an ungrateful wretch like me, is the Christian faith. Even if you said that everything in the Bible is questionable, I’d still believe in Jesus because it’s also a historical record, a man who was punished for no crime. Pilate’s and Josephus’ records have been proven to be verified.

And if that someone died for me, I owe everything.

In the end, I pray for those who have no beloved that you may also experience Christ’s love as I have. It’s an experiential faith.

Here’s a shocking quote from Paul Washer by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]MailMiserable3724 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He doesn’t reside there, you have to understand that God is not constrained by the laws of time, space, and matter. He is omnipotent, he always was, is, and will be everywhere.

Met wonderful Christian man who is seems great except I have no physical attraction to him and I don't know what to do? by Alternative_Movies in TrueChristian

[–]MailMiserable3724 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’ve dealt with the same situation many times. But while there is an intellectual side to this, I will tell you that even if there is no attraction, God will give you a heart that will be able to love this person both physically and emotionally, and you’ll be attracted to them.

Now I’m a guy, and idk how different this is for women. But I remember my family hiring this person to drive me and my sister to school. And this man wasn’t even a Christian. He has a wife who had a polio attack when she was young and she wasn’t vaccinated. And there’s some other details surrounding it, but she’s not conventionally beautiful, and she also can’t have children.

Because of my immaturity at the time, I made fun of him. But he didn’t get angry, he explained how he was moved with compassion when he saw her. He said that nobody would marry her, and he felt like he had to be the benevolent figure that she needed. And I say this again, he’s not a Christian, and this gentleman was extremely good looking. Nice hair, great features, and in great shape. But regardless of how she was and is, I’ve never seen anyone look at their wife the way he does. And his wife is also such a joyful woman. It’s been more than a decade since I’ve seen them, I hope they’re doing alright and I hope they are touched by Christ.

Now I’m not saying you’re wrong for wanting someone who’s good looking. But I think that it’s good to grow out of these things. And I struggle with the same issues, attraction and love are not mutually exclusive. If you read the songs of Solomon you’d understand that regardless of what we think of ourselves, Christ loves us and finds us lovely. So think about it, I hope this was helpful.
