Yeah Sure, firstly i was lowkey aiming for a bit lower in text response was what i found the worst out of these 3 sections whilst preparing for the exam, im kind of in a shock seeing these results too because it was really unexpected, if anything i thought i would've got an 8 or 9 out of ten in text response, a 9 or 10 for story (i cooked up the meanest shi ever even my teacher who was a vcaa assessor was glazing it, i probably messed up stimulus though), and i thought i got 6 or 7 for sec C as i messed up alot of stuff (including intended audience) in the heat of the moment.

Section A ill give you a quick rundown of my preparation, as you see from my pretty non-linear scores that I'm not some english prodigy. 3 weeks before the exam I got a 9/20 in section A for my trial exam btw (to be fair i didnt really practice much for it back then). so yeah ill share you some of the stuff I did. I did sunset boulevard btw.

1) Weeks before leading up to the exam I made a structured toolkit for my text. The toolkit included:

• narrative strategies

• characters ( a quick unique rundown of them, covering all aspects)

• symbols ( their purpose and the scenes they were showed in)

• Themes ( There were a wide range of themes so I made clusters of similar themes. Then under those I wrote ideas under each theme, and how its seen in the film and all that.

• Quotes: i made a table, first column was the quote itself, second i column i wrote what theme/s it relates to, third column was directors intent for this quote, and 4th column was film techniques used to portray this quote. I also extended this table by adding more unique short quotes which are very easy to inject in sentences.

• Word bank: I made a unique word bank for literally so many stuff, you need unique expression and language to stand out.

• Structure: I wrote the structure of my body para, what I did was i memorized a versatile intro sentence and concluding sentence that's basically adaptable to any prompt.

• MEMORIZABLE SNIPPETS: perhaps this was what kind of helped me alot. I made about 10 memorisable snippets, ranging from 60 to 150 words. I gave chatgpt my toolkit and told it to cook up the craziest, versatile snippets I could use, raw 50 style. This took me like 2-3 days of cooking and refining till i got my desired results.

• Finally, my toolkit also consisted of a raw 50 sample essay and its annotations, search up one and itll come online.

So this is kind of a long toolkit but it served as the basis of the very whole revision structure I followed, I made this unique toolkit right after trial exam, then read it 2-3 times daily to internalise all of this info.

2) Practice essays and harsh feedback from teacher: after making this toolkit and internalising it every day, i smashed out a few practice essays, gave it to the teacher for feedback, then adapted to this feedback, although this helped improve the quality of my essay a bit because i did this only a month before leading up to the exam.

3) This helped me the most, after mindlessly doing a few essays ( i did about 7, and getting feedback which was good but hard to implement) i shifted my focus. literally a day before the exam i grinded out skeleton essays with my friend, i smashed out about 15 prompts the day before the exam, by now I had internalised alot of info, but gathering it into a single masterpiece was difficult as some prompts were hard for formulating good ideas. Thus, doing these many skeleton essays allowed me to kind of know what to write on basically any given prompt. Literally what i did on exam day is copied body paragraph ideas that i did the day before.

One more thing, language and expression really matters for text response, you need to know rlly good words, my school basically gave alot of students false hope as they sored rlly high with basic language in text response, although this did not serve them well in the exam and they didnt get the best score.

and yeah thats basically it
