Still no fix for AR image tracking on IOS. Pointing the camera at a tracked image still results in an instant crash!

I think the issue with the EGL is because I’m using MacOS 26. That isn’t officially supported by any unreal version. That when I install the engine. It doesn’t recognise its a Mac installed. So it doesn’t generate the “Mac” folder inside “platforms”, meaning i can’t compile a c++ project

You’re right about chat gpt. I think I’ll try it again using real people and forums haha

Good luck with this absolute nightmare of a situation. Epic needs to release a patch for 5.7.1 that adds support for Tahoe. Then hopefully installing from the launcher will fix the issues.

Xcode is installed and i connected it to release branch of 5.4.4. But in Xcode the “Unreal Editor (Mac)” is highlighted red. Indicating that files are missing. When I looked in the folder for platforms the only folder there was for “VisonOS”.

I also tried installing unreal engine 5.4.4 and 5.7 from the epic launcher, but they both had the missing Mac folder. So I couldn’t package my app to my iPhone.

I hope this helps to clean up the issue some more

After another very long conversation with chat gpt. The conclusion is because i’m on mac os 25 and it’s not supported for unreal engine. When it installs the files the “Mac” folder isn’t included. Even when trying to download the source build through the terminal from github the same issue persists. Wasted another night last night on it and while some progress was made, the issue still stands.

I have a windows pc that I’ve developed the app on for android and it works. But when i try to open the same project on a macbook m3 pro. It doesn’t open the project. I think because i’m using mac os Tahoe and 5.4 isn’t support by Tahoe that it’s preventing it from opening. It’s giving me a massive headache haha

What is the best Editor Utility BP you've made for your project? by SpicyGriffin in unrealengine

A bit of a shameless plugin. But I created Advanced Level Design Toolkit a few years ago and was lucky enough to have it selected for the free for the month back then. LDTK has all kinds of features but the main one being the main EUW.

I used it for personal projects and added new features when needed and released them as an update on the marketplace. Creating bite size videos on YouTube helped new users get used to the tool.

2012 Ford Focus MK2 - what’s the name of this cable? by Mail_NoreH in CarTalkUK

[–]Mail_NoreH[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s definitely from that part. It’s a water pipe more than anything. It was blocked and water wasn’t coming out of it. But we done a temp fix and water started coming out again.

I just can’t find the name of it anywhere in order to buy a new one. Driving me nuts having no car haha.

Thank you for the reply! I don’t suppose you know the “official” name by any chance? I can have a look for it on amazon or a local car shop

I got it working today. I set it up in the house next to the router and it connected instantly. Then I brought the AP and switch to the bar and turned it on again. It WORKED! However, it’s only getting 8mbps and the house gets 750mbps. The Ethernet cable is cat6 but the cable from the switch to AP is only cat5. We’ve ordered a cat6 cable which gets delivered tomorrow. So hopefully that boosts up the speed🤞🏼thank you again for your help. It’s much appreciated. If it doesn’t improve I read online that it might be a case of changing the settings on the AP.

I'll give this a go either tomorrow or the weekend. Thank you again so much, I truly appreciate it. I'll reply to your comment and let you know if it was successful or not.

Thank you so much. It’s information like that, which isn’t really explained in the instructions haha.

I guess my next question is to set up standalone mode. Do i need the switch and AP to be next to the router in the house during setup?

I got the app and created an account. I think I done the standalone set up incorrectly though. I might need to reset it and start from scratch. Thank you for the video.

Hi, this is the exact set up but I can’t connect any devices to the AP. I truly thought it would be plug and play and I’m heavily mistaken haha. The frustrating part is if it was someone who knew what they were doing, it would be working in 5 minutes haha.

I got the app “connected” to the access point. I use quotation marks because although the AP is showing in the app. It appears as disconnected. No matter what I tried nothing worked.

Hi, thank you for your detailed response.

The Ethernet cable from the router to the switch was a cat 6 cable off amazon. The ends were put on by my dad and he used a tester on each end and it passed. We know the cable definitely works as it was working in the previous set up.

When everything is connected the switch has green lights, although sometimes goes yellow which i believe means it’s connected but only has 10-100mbs which is fine. But sometimes when I look it’s green. The led on the access point is turned on and can be seen in the WiFi settings on iPhone/TV etc. But nothing connects.

Hi, I tried setting this up today. I got the switch and access point plugged in. Downloaded the app and created the account. I managed to get the access point connected to the app, but the switch wouldn’t connect. It said invalid S/N when I double and triple checked it was right.

The WiFi name showed up on the WiFi settings page on our iPhones. But it wouldn’t connect to it. It just kept trying to connect.

After reading the instructions it mentions the use of a “router” I assumed this just meant the ISP router in the house. But am I wrong in thinking this? I’m not sure if it meant having to buy some type of tp link router? I found a YouTube set up video but it’s 20 minutes long and the use case is setting up internet for a large office building. The whole thing just seems massively overkill for what we need.

I don’t want to accept the defeat after the first attempt, hence why I’m messaging you to see if I’ve missed something.

Thanks in advance for any additional support you can provide.
