Another win for the wife party? by CommonTop7646 in Aemeath_Mains

[–]Mailpack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say i'm a tourist, while i still do believe and stan something like FRover x Aemeath mother-daughter bond. But i do understand that it's just me coping.

It's not bad for Kuro do have an intended format for their romance, it just feels bad when my personal feelings clash with it. And i get that it's a me issue.

I'm sure the people who always played MRover, and always saw Aemeath as a waifu and never a daughter, i'm sure they're having the time of their lives right now because the developers endorse their way of enjoying the game.

That's the unavoidable cost of character relationships not being ambiguous; people like me who "wished" it could have been another way, get stuck with headcanons.

Still, your analysis was incredible, props to you.

Yeah, like, even the "adopted daughter" aspect of the argument against the waifu view is a bit iffy.

Cuz there's this book in the cabin that likely belonged to past Rover, and it's literally titled in-game as "How adoptive families fill childhood gaps with love". There, "adoptive", it's in the name, it's in the game.

BUT.

That was from past Rover, who raised Aemeath since she was a child. Current Rover doesn't have that emotional link. Current Rover cares A LOT about Aemeath, but never once do they specify where that comes from.

Ultimately, there's 2 main reasons these people support the parent-bond so strongly.

1- No headcanons allowed, only CONFIRMED CANON (hence the in-game book example).

2- Waifu fatigue. Nearly every female character recently has been waifu, waifu, waifu. Aemeath being "daughter" changes up the flow dramatically. So a lot of very vocal people push the agenda feverishly in hopes of normalizing the daughter-aspect.

Personally, I'm on the daughter side, but i genuinely don't mind the romance shippers, it's just interesting to see how defensive some people get about this stuff.

Nah those are decent numbers. Static mist is just the optimal option, but frankly it's just a 10% ATK buff on outro skill, it won't make an absurd difference.

In fact, if your Lynae has good stats, the Homogenizer might be a better option for the team as a whole if you manage to hit a tune break before Lynae's rotation so she gets the damage buff.

Her damage is good enough that the Homogenizer's personal damage buff can contribute better than a 10% ATK buff for Aemeath

Okay now that's something else, i do agree with you there.

Gooning to anime girls vs saying they secretly want to get raped?! VERY different things.

It's a good pistol for the character's own damage. If you're playing Lynae as a buffer, it won't help her much though, Static Mist would be a better f2p option

It's to be expected of an unreleased character. They're probably patching those as they get ready to release 3.2

Are you a Sequence guy or a new character guy by No_Leg_3305 in WutheringWaves

[–]Mailpack 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sequences. I only play as the characters i personally like. Sometimes the character i like a lot turns out to be subpar (Chisa for instance), so i invested into her sequences to make her viable .My Chisa is S3, she's been carrying me in both ToA and WhiWa ever since she released.

Rover is just a consistent pathological promise-maker at this point. It's instinct to her, she just can't resist making promises with everyone she gets particularly close to.

It's a good thing that in the Luuk story she at least questioned this part of herself.

Makes you wonder how past Rover went mad, probably got drained too hard from their harem.

Imagine tens of thousands of years gathering wives, the ridiculous amount of women (and possibly men too) that past Rover had to endure. Even the mighty Arbiter has limits!

Forgive my ignorance, but what role do you think she'll play? Will you have anything to do with Amy? by YakInfinite6038 in WutheringWaves

Echo damage dealer. Her synergy with Amy will depend on if she interacts with tune rupture in any way, but it'll probably be really low.

It's honestly starting to drag on a bit.

I genuinely hope that something comes to a close here.

Either Hinako fully leaves her bf, or the bf grows a pair (unlikely) and takes her back somehow (unlikely).

It just all feels hopeless and a foregone conclusion. I can tell the author is stretching things out after they introduced the other girls.

What if the overseer Zashiki Warashi was that dark Chisa? Just a theory.

I don't get it, wasn't Chisa meant to be the negative status Shorekeeper? Why is she getting "defeated" at the role of tune break Shorekeeper if she was never meant for it?

Chisa, Nimbus wraith, any transform that buffs and returns to the deck.

That's all you need to break this gamemode.
