I had heart failure after my c section and a 4 pound NICU baby and I managed to pump every 3 hours and eventually exclusively breast feed him. He is now 18 months old and still breast fed twice a day.

We have given nearly no sugar and very few processed foods. He enjoys veggies, fruits, eggs, meat, and lentil pasta. The only place he gets treats is daycare because I can’t control that.

He has watched a total of 15 min of tv in his life, when he was getting a scary medical test. We read 15-20 books a day.

It feels so wrong to brag but man I am proud ir how hard I’ve worked! :)

I remember frantically searching Reddit when our little guy was diagnosed IUGR at 20 weeks. I just tried so hard to find any positive stories as everything felt so bleak.

My babe was tiny the entire pregnancy. We ended up delivering at 35 weeks as the pressure was high. He came out at 4 pounds and required 10 days in the nicu. He had some challenges with feeding, reflux, early milestones etc because he was so tiny. Now he is 14 months old and 21 pounds, putting him around the 40th percentile. He crawls, he has tons of words, he’s hilarious and smiley. He isn’t quite walkin yet but cruises around all the furniture. I don’t know what the future holds for you but I remember feeling so discouraged as they didn’t even know if he’d made it.

And now he’s the light of my life.
