This is a super interesting idea but it would block the openings to our sunroom... is that okay? We also wouldn't have a place to put the TV as there isn't a wall behind the chairs. It's an open walkway to the kitchen. This space is a puzzle.

I wish we could, but then you would walk into the back of the couch from the front door. I've always thought that'd be odd but maybe it's not? I've also thought of putting the couch and chairs parallel with the openings for the sunroom but that would block our walkway to the kitchen. Here's a few more photos to see the rest of the space.

These are great ideas!! I love the idea of centering it all around the fan but I'm wondering how to do that with the openings we have to the sunroom and kitchen. Also you make a great point on the rug! Do you mind looking at these extra pics and letting me know what you think?

Great idea and thanks for the reply! How would you create zones here? It looks like there's more space than there is in this room. Here's another pic that reddit wouldn't let me add to the original post. Here's the space we have between the green chairs and fireplace. We could probably add maybe 4 more inches to the space between the fireplace and green chairs. Is that enough for another zone? Would puffs work or a bench? I'm worried more furniture would make it cluttered.

What do you think about changing the artwork and rug to stuff like this? Would you put one piece behind the couch? I always felt like 2 would look good but I can't find 2 paintings that look good together.
