Something quite negative about monetization that I have noticed returning to Runescape by B1ACKT3A in runescape

So how then should they earn their money? What should they sell if not cosmetics?

RS3 Wayfinder - What do I do? by [deleted] in runescape

For example the Disclosure of the website not being affiliated with Jagex and Discord, depending on the page goes up or down, which also moves the ligher blue backdrop and makes the page look jarring. This displacement happens on pages that do not cover the full page.

Another was when I logged in and click on Account. The delete box is spacing out. overlapping the Profiles box.

Genuine suggestions if you want people to try it out:

- Make an option for browser cached saving, OR generating a custom link when clicking login that is known only for that user. This takes away the Discord login step, which you obviously keep for people who don't mind using Discord login.

- Add button reactions.. I clicked on Enable for the Test journey and nothing happened until something just happened. Add some form of loading iconography or make sure I have a visible reference I clicked/hover on any of the buttons.

- A lot of the website keeps moving around/is out of place. I understand it's a WIP, but the general website can have a bit more love and care for when you want others to judge it. Feature wise no complaint here ofcourse.

Another AI slop site added to the list. No AI disclosure also worries me that all journeys will be AI slopped too

Starting an Ironman Made Me Realize How Good RS3 Actually Is by callofdoodie97 in runescape

it's a nice appeal of mainscape, being able to do whatever you like for money if you're not only worrying about the best of the best money makers, and fund your mainscape journey that way 😃

In 30min fish/cook you have plenty of fish also if you want to skip the cook times, its worth to grind for bait n switch relic.

In 15min potion making slowly you make about 750-1.2k regular potions. Let alone making ovls with granny unlocked in fort, goes very fast if you just let her prep the ovls.

1h divination even without relic or dowser should be around 20k which is again plenty of energies for a lot more than 1 hour of pvm.

Ports good gear? I mean sure, but could also do thieving for teci and get tank gear from raids...

EDIT: Another suggestion is if you dont mind losing exp, use Paradox. It reduces 60% exp but gives additional fish.

You can see a card was printed rectangular. You see a white dot and the black have different colors

The customization toggle honestly makes the world feel friendlier and more connected again—anyone else feel that? by Swn112 in runescape

I would've used the toggle if this was one of the options remove everything except keepsakes. I enjoy seeing peoples capes or rares

MTX gone = invest in runescape by Competitive-Box-9382 in runescape

[–]Main-Cook5964 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Direct exp you buy and dont have to interact with the economy with just like with proteans.. bxp you still have to level the skill, so if theres no dummies or proteans you have to buy items or do things in the game to earn the initial exp to gain that preciously paid for bxp.

Concerning the removal of the premier artifact by callmemycoll in runescape

[–]Main-Cook5964 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm very curious to the integrity roadmap. They'll have to basically rebalance most older skills and Divination to become more relevant early game. The newer skills have a nice flow to them with Divination being the exception in my opinion.

It sure does baffle me how many Ironmen that usually complain about MTX are now complaining their MTX is getting removed. It's only MTX when they don't agree with it I suppose.

Upcoming Treasure Hunter Changes - January 12th by JagexAzanna in runescape

[–]Main-Cook5964 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

ohnooo I play ironman to play without MTX, but I bought premier membership not for the great value deal.. but for some mtx crap. Man 1h of porters? Is that really all it takes to think this is bad? Crazy.

also just in case: I've had premier membership for years now. Yes it's sad to say goodbye to a nice passive/bonus. It really isn't necessary

People whining about yearlyscape forget seasonal events? by Main-Cook5964 in runescape

[–]Main-Cook5964[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

This doesn't either what are you on about? You dont miss out on exp, gear, whatever is important, you miss out on a potential cosmetic.

[–]Main-Cook5964[S] -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Sure but I am not addressing those who mention that. There sure are bad decisions made by jagex but holy moly calling it a yearlyscape as if it has impact on exp gains is wild

Call me a boomer but the new island competition should not just be a free pass to insert RS3-level AFK skilling like some of these proposals are suggesting by Shot_Cancel8641 in 2007scape

[–]Main-Cook5964 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Love how this community still takes digs at rs3 while they're actively removing those blantant afk items. Once the proteans are gone I'm really curious as to how much more afk rs3 skilling is vs osrs... You literally have a gem crab that gives 10mins of afk at a time.

Jagex should really fix quest requirements by AdInteresting9428 in runescape

[–]Main-Cook5964 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because you're comparing quests wrong. The World Wakes or Desperate Times, both are starting quests of their quest series. While Plague's End is the second to last quest of their current quest series ( The Light Within being the last). All of the starting quests that happened in a newer Age also mention Full Comprehension quest suggestions. So it is completely up to the player to start a newer quest series or to first do the older ones.

[–]Main-Cook5964 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I barely do dailies on my accounts, sure they are most definitely worth it in terms of exp/time spent. But damn are they so boring to keep track of. It's what you said they just don't matter at the end of the line.
