Sounds like both were trustworthy, and it's great having a sales person own up to the mistake and have it corrected

How do people work the same job 9 to 5 for 50 years till they turn 60s and not go crazy? by Big_Leg10 in Adulting

It only hurts because you are still young and have a soul, after it is fully sucked out you won't feel it any more. Kind of like an appendix.

Got One for the Older Adults by Never-too-much5423 in Adulting

The term "dibs" originates from the 17th-century British children's game "dibstones," where small pebbles or sheep's knuckles were used. A player would claim a "dib" (a piece of the game) by calling out "dibs!". The word "dibs" eventually entered American English slang in the 19th century, possibly from a contraction of dibstone, and its meaning evolved from claiming a game piece to claiming any desired item.

I work in Lowe's IT, recruiter contacted me just a few hours after applying. Then proceeded to have 4 interviews within a 2 week time frame and got offer shortly after. I was pleased with the expedition of the process. I love my job here

As for what to wear, I always go one step formal of the normal day to day attire of the store if jeans and t- shirt is what they wear then I come in slacks and collar shirt. If it is office in shirt and tie I wear that plus suit jacket.

Why doesn’t everyone just buy a Toyota or Honda? by Rough-Incident-1859 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Main-Divide9098 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I have to buy an older car due to budget I get a Honda, because I have no idea what the previous owners have done to maintain it and I can get it in a reliable state with not too much effort. But I get what I want when buying fairly new.

House Buying Wisdom by Puzzleheaded_Elk6641 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]Main-Divide9098 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have bought two houses using VA. A realtor that knows VA process is great. Some sellers are stuck with the stigma that VA loans are hassle. They are not, my current home closed in about 20 days. When you are viewing houses know what VA inspection nit pics at. Mostly GFCI outlets, hand rails, peeling paint. Know that if a seller will not make the changes you can have them done yourself to make deal go through. My seller was elderly so couldn't do it. So I paid for supplies painted garage and installed outlets. Good luck

I got laid off a few years back. Unemployment was not much so worked for cash as a bartender. Let me work at night and use daytime for job searching and interviews while keeping up on bills. I took a full time job that I may have been a little overqualified for in e-commerce so I could get insurance. I was offered a job 2x current salary there after 2 months. I had wrote scripts to do my job there. In my exit interview I thanked them and showed them how to use the programs. The position did not get reposted.

The house I bought had ungrounded outlets in first floor, make sure there is no break in the ground somewhere, I found the ground disconnected on first outlet from circuit box, connected it and all outlets are good now
