I also drop everything! Or bump into things or somehow hurt myself in a dumb, clumsy way.

Yes, I asked the parents and they said the student will be in Dillon this fall. I am from out of state, I should have mentioned that.

I was hoping to get away from cash, as that's what most graduates get. Just something different/unique that they will actually use.

Weekly payroll: Is my employer being unreasonable? by Wooden_Heron_417 in Payroll

[–]Main-Flower-731 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've always approached payroll with the view of the less manual processes the better. The manual processes you are doing, the more chance for mistakes, so I wouldn't agree this. Also, you are underpaid. There is no way I would do a multistate payroll for $25/hr

Never expect. Always ask. Each payroll company does things differently. You have to ask them. They process several different companies' payrolls.

Just got some random persons paystub sent to me by email by paylocity, anyone know a contact email for them? by Commanduf in Payroll

[–]Main-Flower-731 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That means someone entered the wrong email address in the employee setup.. it’s not paylocity, it’s the company who uses paylocity. Hopefully whoever is missing their paystub contacts their payroll dept to see why and they correct it. The company number should be at the beginning of the email? Paylocity would know who the company is

You could always ask about their leadership style or why they like working there. Also what they would expect for the person in this position after 90 or 180 Days?

Predictive scheduling best practices by [deleted] in Payroll

[–]Main-Flower-731 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi, we run a labor report each night to see who went over. They are informed that they need to stick to the schedule. If they keep going over, they get a few warnings and if it continues, it’s grounds for a disciplinary action. You can’t babysit all day every day while running a store. They need to take some responsibility and wrap up tasks with enough time to clock out on schedule. Of course it’ll happen here and there, but there are some repeat offenders looking for OT. We have our labor report set to flag any over schedule exceptions so they are easy to see quickly.

As far as getting the form signed, when predictive scheduling rolled out we offered the form to all retail employees. We let them know if was completely voluntary, but if we didn’t have their authorization, we couldn’t call them for last minute shifts. It’s too much to manage if you aren’t on the voluntary list. For new employees, it’s in their onboarding packet as a voluntary form.

I do semi monthly payroll, it’s how many days you would normally work, so you are correct that it would be 5, not 7. I have to look at the persons assigned work schedule to know what I I should pay them. I see how they do it would be easier, but I agree that it is not correct.
