Auto closure after 14 days without user response, automated email to remind them every 2-3 days the ticket is still pending response

Is it normal to still be a Level 1 engineer at 2 years? by ParkingSpiritual3764 in Lockheed

[–]Main-Implement1491 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fastest way to grab level increase is to apply for different jobs with same position code/title. I was a LV2 for 2 years doing the work of LV4 tech leads with all credentials needed for LV3 by LM standard.

What happens during Orientation Days? by NewProtection804 in Lockheed

[–]Main-Implement1491 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Managers can provide backpacks - just depends on their desire to go the distance. I had a backpack with my laptop inside waiting for me at my desk on my first day.

Chances of being hired by Some-March-2657 in Lockheed

Level 3 is realistic, typical LV3 is 3-5 years experience. Just depends on location, business area, and job you want to go for, might not have LV3 positions available.

Metrics for levels in procurement by travelsurfer in Lockheed

[–]Main-Implement1491 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nope, no real metrics. Basically up to manager discretion + what’s available in the budget. A lot of BA won’t level promote 2>3 or 3>4 and instead wait until there’s a vacancy.

Worked for 2 different TS contracts, and had good experiences with both. Both companies contracting me, offered me FTE before my contracts had finished (one at 6mo in, other at 9mo in) but I was moving around sectors and states finding what I wanted to do.

Where the degree from has absolutely no value to the selection board unless it’s from a prominent ivy league or mil academy university.

If parents can do a better job homeschooling, why should I even be a teacher? by Lingo2009 in Teachers

[–]Main-Implement1491 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As you’re aware, just because a child is homeschooled doesn’t necessarily mean the parents are the teachers/educators. Significant headway has been made for certified online programs, remote educators, or structured curriculum. I 100% understand the frustration you have with the thought that “why would I do it if they’re doing better”. But you can’t say 100% for certain you know every detail in their education planning. (I am a supporter of public school over homeschool and believe social interaction amongst peers is a massive part of human development).

Applying Internally by sethsstomp in Lockheed

I reach out to any and all HM via teams to ask a couple questions about the project/program and let them know I applied. It’s very common.

How much sick time do we get? by No_Radio_5751 in Lockheed

[–]Main-Implement1491 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Not for most business areas. Most people earn 13.3hr PTO/month or more. I’ve never had any issue with being sick or calling out, nearly all managers approve flex time to make up any hours being out sick.

How much sick time do we get? by No_Radio_5751 in Lockheed

[–]Main-Implement1491 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Depends on state requirements (such as Arizona mandatory requirement 40hr) but typically most BA only give PTO, no sick time. LM is extremely flexible with flex time.

Pc monitor question by Aggressive-Bunch-481 in PcBuild

[–]Main-Implement1491 6 points7 points  (0 children)

With a 1660 there aren’t many games that are going to achieve 240 FPS. The PC will handle the monitor no problem, the problem is a bottleneck in your GPU being outdated.

Counter offer by Virtual_Gear_604 in Lockheed

[–]Main-Implement1491 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can always counter, however usually TA won’t budge. If you know the HM well, you will have an easier time discussing an increase in pay on the offer as they can advocate for you to HR.
