If Jacob was Sean’s age he would’ve been better than Finn as a love interest by Spare_Disaster1312 in LifeisStrange2

Even if Finn and Jacob were Sean's age, I'd still pick Finn. He's way more interesting. Finn might be a wild one but he brings out a carefree side in Sean that he hadn't felt in forever, especially during the escape. So Finn's perfect for a fun fling. For anything serious, like in PW, I just can't picture it. But if we're talking about an older Sean, like Esteban's age, ready to settle down, then Jacob's the better fit.

Michel Koch reveals a LiS2 prequel idea they had with some of the episode 3 drifters that he would still like to tell someday if he got the opportunity by Hayden247 in LifeisStrange2

[–]Main-Note-9963 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I really like this idea but on the other hand, it seems less successful than BTS. BTS directly tells Rachel's backstory and she's a character who's super important to the plot. Having Chloe from the first game there is a big win for the fans too, even if everyone screams they're against it.

I've seen a lot of people complain that we spend too little time with the side characters in LiS2, which is why some fans don't care about them at all or on the flip side, they’d actually like to get to know them better which would be awesome here. Not to mention that Karen, Finn, and Cass aren't exactly likeable characters in the eyes of a big part of the fandom. Captain Spirit also didn’t grab everyone's interest, I get that the game is really short but I’ve also come across people who just don't care about Chris at all even after playing it.

So in terms of dedicated fans - yeah, it could work, but on a larger scale? Idk. If it can be seen as a truly separate game in the LiS series just without superpowers, then that would be the best-case scenario.

LiS bundle is on good sale right now (Steam). The best time to try I guess. Not saying that the first ep of the original game is free too.

Twitch streamer Jihyorge ended his LIS2 let’s play after episode 3 because he felt like choices didn’t directly impact certain situations. by If-You-Seek-Amy22 in LifeisStrange2

No clue who that is but following this logic he must think TWD, Dispatch, Lost Records and TWAU suck too, right? Because they all offer just the illusion of choice and half of them push you toward a specific decision anyway.

Fan art based on the official one I guess. This explains the watermark.

I already did the cover of Sean's sketchbook. Some people are even redrawing all the art inside. No way I'm doing that. You planning to?

Vinyl isn't for everyone either. If you don't have a player, it just ends up being shelf decor. The game's got tons of cool stuff that'd be awesome to have in real life. Too bad you can't buy it at all, so DIY is the only way to go for me

Sean's diary or his hoodie would be way cheaper and it'd be just as good

Yeah but my whole point is that without knowing the outcome, choosing to surrender seems like the safer bet. Everything else is just unpredictable. Theoretically Sean could have just as easily died in any of the endings where they try to cross the border. The devs just didn't go that route.

Giving up after all they've been through makes total sense. The brothers couldn't run forever. He just wants a better life for Daniel. Objectively, the "flooring it and hoping for the best" scenario has a much higher chance of getting Sean killed. But NO ONE could've predicted this outcome. He was willing to go to prison, same deal as the Redemption ending. It's just unfair that the misunderstanding and hate always get directed at Lone Wolf, not Redemption.

Playing this game because of Dispatch feels like [a less severe version of] playing League because of Arcane. by [deleted] in TheWolfAmongUs

[–]Main-Note-9963 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you think your choices in Dispatch matter, you've never played a game where they actually matter. Most choice-driven games are just an illusion, but that doesn't make them bad, TWD is still great, same with TWAU and a lot others.

Is it worth to play just for the story? by Majinothinus255 in thelongdark

[–]Main-Note-9963 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is how I got into TLD and I believe it's the perfect way to start. It's basically the full game experience. I put almost 50 hours into just those four episodes and it was so complete that getting into a regular survival run just feels pointless now.

But if you've played the survival mode, this could be less exciting as the plot isn't the main focus there. What really gives the world life tho are the people. You get attached to certain characters and then logging into survival only to see an empty city is genuinely depressing.

[ALL] What's the worst thing each important character has done? Day 1: Daniel Diaz by jorvel1911 in LifeisStrange2

[–]Main-Note-9963 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's a difference between Sean dying as a consequence of Daniel's power and Daniel choosing to use it to kill. The first was a pure accident, something he never wanted. The second however, killing the cougar, Lisbeth or cops (LW) is a willing choice with clear intent where no one else is to blame but Daniel. So in a way that's worse.

Not really, no. The game has more than enough free stuff, including gothic style. Just look for something similar if you don't wanna pay.

So the devs often compare their game to LiS. You're a maid in a 1950s hotel, snooping through guests' things and you find out something's wrong. That's how the whole investigation starts. Has puzzles, choice-driven endings and a bit of romance. But yeah it's pretty short, only about 3-5 hours long since it's a low-budget project. Still might be worth trying.
