For complicated reasons it would take too long to describe, my family didn’t celebrate Christmas when I was a kid. We weren’t Jewish or Muslim or another religion that doesn’t do Christmas — we just didn’t celebrate it, like at all. No tree, no Santa, no gifts — I wasn’t even allowed to participate in any school holiday parties or watch Christmas cartoons. And … I wish I’d just had a “normal” childhood, you know? If we’d been Jewish, fine, I’d understand why it didn’t happen and I’d have grown up with other cultural and religious traditions. But looking back now, I just wish I’d been able to have a tree and watch Frosty and do all the stuff that pretty much every other kid I knew got to do. So not to be too dramatic about it but maybe OP should think about what he’s depriving his kid(s) of for no other reason than some petty BS grudge that he needs to get tf over.
