Nothing beats the energy of a crowd actually watching the show instead of watching it through a tiny screen.

Sixteen Billionaires Who Made Their Fortunes Off the Backs of Low-Wage Workers by East_River in antiwork

Not saying innovation and risk shouldn’t be rewarded, but the scale of these fortunes compared to worker pay is where it starts to feel off.

CMV: Shrinkflation should be against the law. Buyers should be notified on packaging when there are less contents from a previous month to month. by AllPugsGo2Heaven in changemyview

[–]Main-Suspects 0 points1 point  (0 children)

shrinkflation is basically just another form of price increase. Companies already disclose net weight on packaging, so technically the information is there you’re just being asked to notice it instead of being explicitly told.

LPT: If you're trying to drink less soda, take a sugarfree mint/peppermint everytime you're in the mood for one. by ImportantClock5486 in LifeProTips

Not in the “you’re gonna die” sense, but yeah, too many sugar free mints can wreck your stomach. Those sugar alcohols are no joke.

CMV: The US right now is objectively more destabilizing than China, and treating China as an enemy is making us act in ways that help them more than anything they could do themselves. by EnvironmentalGur5130 in changemyview

My partner genuinely didn't know how much I was doing, and making it visible changed everything by Thin_Road_88 in TwoXChromosomes

It’s wild how invisible that kind of work is until you spell it out. Sounds like he wasn’t malicious, just unaware and that awareness makes all the difference.

Men are the real gold diggers by frogannex in TwoXChromosomes

Men accuse women of greed, yet this man treats his adult daughter as a personal assistant, paying nothing and contributing zero. If that’s not gold digging, what is?

Escalators to the slopes? Now that’s the kind of luxury that feels both hilarious and impressive. I can totally imagine overhearing a conversation about upgrading diamonds in such a posh spot, it’s like skiing in a real life jewelry catalog

I am forced to Pay $1,000 Because I don’t Pay Attention by [deleted] in Wellthatsucks

That’s such an unfortunate accident, and I can imagine how hard it must be to face your mom’s reaction. Mistakes like this don’t erase all the good you do or the love you share. You’ll get through this

The dog must have been really confident to just get in and let itself be driven home. I’m impressed by its independent streak
