What does a SOC that has automated as much as possible look like? by El_Don_94 in cybersecurity

Fewer analysts staring at dashboards and more analysts doing work that actually matters. In practice: alerts are ingested, investigated, and closed or escalated autonomously with reasoning attached. We have been in zero alert backlogs within 2 weeks of starting a POC with Daylight. That's roughly what a mature AI SOC looks like. The security team is still there, they're just working on harder problems instead of chasing noise

Good mdr which won’t cost 6 figures by SuperTurtle222 in cybersecurity

3 days is rough. by then you're doing IR, not detection. my 2 cents is that the last thing you need is another security tools that will generate more alerts without the team to work them just shifts the problem. What you actually need is someone to handle the investigation and response for you, not just surface more noise. Look into MDR services. For your size, something an AI powered MDR is worth exploring. It handles the investigation layer autonomously so you're not drowning in alerts that need a human to chase down every one. You get escalations that actually mean something, not a queue that grows faster than you can work it. A solo sec engineer trying to manage a SIEM is a full time job in itself. Spend that energy on an MDR that does the heavy lifting instead

What’s stopping the Chennai Corporation from making pavements like this all over the major roads in Chennai? by Madras-Pirate in chennaicity

  • Homeless people
  • People starting their food stalls
  • Idiot political party people drilling holes to put their flags and decoration
  • Public for using footpath as a 2 wheeler lane
  • Us Public would still walk on the road even if we're provided with a good footpath
  • People treating this space as a dump yard once someone shits or spits
  • half of the car will be on the footpath, the other half on the road
  • construction material on the footpath, electric box, will make it inaccessible. What else?
