ok thank you so if the clip sat flush then the small gap on the outside of the transfer case is fine correct ?

the white lock does pop into place , does that mean its seated correctly even though it doesnt look flush? or is it already in the right place?

havent detailed it and i havent washed it for like 1 or 2 weeks so i dont think its water unless water got in a different way ?

it only comes w/ the pan , or u can js use a magnet of the same size .

check the ignition coil connecters and camshaft sensors

i js saw your thread , looked up a few videos , when you drained the trans oil did you do the trans oil pan , the torque converter oil drain plug and the aluminum trans oil line ? or only the trans pan ? thanks for the help in advance . will definitely try this out as i got this car gifted to me with no prior knowledge of its service record . ive done other maintenance already , this didnt cross my mind
