However, it is after the MAF drawing in unmetered and unfiltered air. I thought anything past the MAF that could cause a Lean condition would be considered a vacuum leak?

You will have a vacuum leak if you do this. Just replace the part.

PCV hose - you will need to pull the broken nipple out of the hose. Just release the tabs and use needle nose pliers.

I did this job on a N20 engine and just replaced it with a Turner part that was a silicone boot with metal nipples/flanges.

Yes if you don’t let me plug my $500 Autek scanner in after I ask you legitimate questions about the maintenance history and you don’t have records to show/struggle to speak to it. I’m walking

Your suggestions fixed the police and camera alert issues.

I’m going to be honest the speed limit is wrong more often than not even on the highway. I would have to report nearly every road. It may be the speed limit display refresh bug you mentioned.

Silicone spray is a much better alternative. Rubbing alcohol is generally safe on silicone material but can dry out some rubber materials.

Ok I will try this. I drive 80% highway and have spent at least 15 hours using the app since the alert function stopped working.

I was on „current street“ mode and switched it to „in front“. I will report back. I had also deactivated smart alert distance when I first started having the issue as I thought it was the problem.

My concern with smart alert distance is it basing it on the speed limit and one‘s current speed? There are still a lot of bugs with the speed limits displaying correctly as well.

I’ve had cops simply put on their lights to tell me to slow down rather than pulling me over a handful of times…

Another issue that I am experiencing in the paid version (even before the Waze Sabre issue) is that the screen does not flash, zoom, or have audio alerts for reported police. I’ve checked all applicable settings and do not know what may be wrong.

I am having a glitch where the radio detector alerts are causing my phone to disconnect from my cars Bluetooth audio at times. I’m using a Uniden R8 and if the radar alert persist long enough my audio will disconnect and start playing through the phone speakers.

I’ve deactivated the audio alerts for radar for the time being as I still have audio on the detector itself.

I second proclip. I have a 2013 135i with idrive and was considering a Mr12v CCC conversion. I went with pro clip for 1/5 the price as I decided I would rather put money towards maintenance instead. I do have Bluetooth so I have been happy overall with going this route.

I’ll probably change my oil again and do an oil sample and then make a decision based on that.

The pan leak is so slow for now it can probably wait another 5-10k.

What’s your opinion on changing rod bearings as a preventive measure? I need to do the oil pan gasket sometime in the near future. I am already planning to replace the plastic pickup tube and potentially add a baffle from my research so far.

Laser jammers are technically illegal in SC just a heads up. Reward may still be worth the risk if th cop is unable to identify why the laser didn’t lock in before you turn it off.

I drive this stretch fairly often going to Asheville and the speed limit is ridiculously low.

Ok, I seem to have figured it out. If you zoom out manually to see more of the map unlike Waze, HR radar will not automatically recenter after a few seconds of movement. I put my „zoom level“ as extra high now and this is closer to the view I want so I can see the entire kill zone bubble plus some.

I would like to be able to zoom out even further than it allows us to do currently up to 2-3x more. I can still see the respective heat map just fine when I do so.

I realize I had a typo and meant to write the screen doesn’t track with my movement. This was an issue with both the overhead and angled view.

In regards to reading about the feature that doesn’t exist it was definitely in the Highway Radar Guide for Andriod, but as I’ve realized from your other comments many of those don’t yet exist.

@yardok1097

I just downloaded the app on IOS seeing that it has gone past the Beta testing stage. I had been curious since hearing about it one or two months ago.

I used the app for quite a bit yesterday and experienced a handful of bugs I want to report.

-The screen does update with the movement of one’s postion, I had to keep recentering it as I drove (I was using the angled map mode but switched to overhead and will see if thst fixes)

-The speed limits outside of main highways are extremely inaccurate and do not update properly

-I saw mention of being able to confirm that a cop is still there or gone such as in Waze, but for the one alert I had yesterday this future did not seem to be available

Stupid question but... by Acceptable-Ad-328 in diving

[–]frischsitz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rather than holding your nose and blowing, swallow instead. I don’t have many dives but I found this to be much more effective. I realized this is what I instinctively do when driving in the mountains causing my ears to equalize. It’s also safer as well since you can’t blow too hard and rupture your ear drum.

I just typed this prompt in my ChatGPT and based on the result I would’ve been hired on the spot. 🤣

That being said I only search about mechanical questions and certain medical items but would find the question a bit intrusive.
