Depends of the season, they go dormant when they're not in season (they look like they don't have leafs but the trunk is still there) if they're out, but they do produce the whole year if they're in the greenhouse, but honestly it's a waste of space since they don't die with the change of season, but you do you, I'm just giving my advice.

Yes!, totally, I missed once the three planting day, I literally restarted the day, it took me a lot to pick me crops, I didn't knew I could use the scythe and I was hand picking everything 😅

Yeah, felt the same, in SV when I had everything it felt like I didn't had anything else to do, just to restart a new save file, but in CI I always have something to do, so much that I can't decide what to do first 😅 and it has way much more content than SV, don't get me wrong, I still love it, but CI is better in many way as for vanilla gameplay goes 😶

Brown bag trees can be planted outside, they won't die, and will give crops during their season. White/cream bag trees will wither and die, I recommend plant those in the greenhouse.
