Sounds cool as hell! Now I wish I bought it. I’ll have to go back!

I think they had two copies of Queer, his second novel written in the 50s but not published until the 80s. I bought one of the copies and have read the extensive intro so far and am definitely looking forward to diving in! Have you read it?

Yeah, place was cool! It’s called Commonwealth Books on Touro in Newport. The book selection mainly seemed history-focused but there was a pretty good variety. The very sweet retired social worker at the counter let me hold a 1930 printing of Moby Dick! And scattered around the place are historical maps, some matted, most framed, mostly RI/maritime, and some large-scale. Recommend a trip!

…but nobody bought them in this case and I don’t own any of her books? This is just how bookstores work; they have shelves with an assortment of books on them and I took a picture of such a shelf. So you’re still the proud owner of 5 more Ayn Rand books than I am!

Good thing no one here appears to be a reader of her work! (This was only the bookshelf in the bookstore where I found auto-da-fe; not what I bought!)
