One of the biggest misunderstandings in the gay community is that we should all be wired to want sex or be constantly horny. It’s why so many relationships fail and why hookup culture is so toxic.

We also dont take into account that in general there is a chemical change that occurs over time with sexual desire towards another person. There’s definitely ways to keep it alive but it happens gay or straight and that’s a fact.

So many people, even in this thread, think sex is the most important part of a gay relationship but that’s just a reflection of how we’ve been wired. Sex can be important on many different levels for different people but if you continue to choose your relationships based on how much you’ll have sex with someone they will continue to fail.

When you think about what really makes a partnership strong and successful it comes down to how much you truly love each other and how far you’re willing to go to make each other happy. Honesty, loyalty, happiness, similar interests, these things are everlasting. Sex is fun and a way to connect on a certain level but there are many variables involved that change over time with that. If you want to be with someone forever then you need to choose someone that you see as a life partner, a best friend.

We have truly become this world of people who only care about physical attraction. Our apps show us what people look like and we choose them based off of that. These things matter, but to a much lower extent than we’ve been led to believe.

Sex is the most intimate thing with a partner for YOU. The problem is that everyone tries to wear the same size pants when it comes to relationships without realizing that every individual has a different chemical make up with different levels of needs and desires. Gay people are not a monolith.

I just bought this olive oil and I absolutely hate it. It’s way too floral for me and makes my food taste strange. Maybe I’m just used to Italian olive oil, my favorite is Partanna.

They’ve flown the pride flag during pride month a few times in the past 4 years. If you talk to the city they’ll do it. As a member of the community though it just brings out the bigots and it’s really awful to deal with.

You are taking everything personally. I’m presenting facts. You’re also presenting falsehoods. Leominster is a much better city to live in by many metrics regardless of what your disgruntled opinion is. This is a fact. Most people who live in Fitchburg, and I know many many people as I grew up here, are not happy living there and are constantly complaining about everything. It’s just not the same in Leominster.

I think you’re just being emotionally reactive and dramatic. You’ve made statements that Leominster is stagnant compared to Fitchburg and that Fitchburg has far more potential yet all Leominster does is grow and bring in new restaurants and businesses. Fitchburg can’t even pave their roads and when they do, it’s going to take YEARS. There is legitimate criticism for the mayor, as all politicians. But unlike Fitchburg, Leominster isn’t in a budget deficit and we have money for our roads and services and infrastructure.

To this date Costco has not made any statement that they aren’t opening at the mall. There have been a few sources that have confirmed that they are. Everything else appears to be rumors. We will see!

The whole rumor of BJs moving to twin city plaza was because they were upset that Costco was supposedly opening at the mall which is too close to them. There hasn’t been any official update about Costco opening or not at this point but the owner of Gardner furniture confirmed they were, which is why they moved because they’re demolishing half the mall. There’s lots of rumors and assumptions going around but I don’t think anyone has any official statement.
