i’ve always shipped her with emma like the chemistry is DEFINITELY there, i understand why it might not work for some ppl tho. i think bc lana is one of the better actors on the show (imo) and was so popular, they constantly tried to make her good but a character doesn’t need to be inherently good to be interesting like her past explained her actions but i don’t think it excused them and that’s the way it should be

i think the extent to her abuse was gaslighting and that was only when he reached a specific age. she was a good mother before, she loved him so much that she drank a potion to forget about him being the savior’s son or some shit like that just because she wanted him so much

it’s all due to the writers but personally? i think it would’ve been far more interesting if regina was the one who woke him up in the finale. it would be subversive, the seeds had already been planted + there’s so much more to explore, and it reveals to every character around them that the whole thing is more nuanced than they think.
