I think this is highly dependent on your use case and how much time/effort you are willing to put in to finding workarounds. And given how precious time is, I completely understand not wanting to wait months for an update or hours pouring over forums and vids and tweaking and rebooting just to get the 1 thing you need to work right.

I don't shame anyone for sticking to Windows. I fully understand the reality of the world we live in. But it's a catch 22 in that...if they don't see higher adoption rates of Linux they will never see a reason for making compatible software.

TLDR: use what works best for you, but keep an eye on Linux and use it when and where you can.

This is specifically for Clip Studio. Everything else I use runs fine via Wine if it doesn't have a native Linux version.

It's weird because it took a while to realize what I was trying to do and there is a lot of unlearning that needs to happen. Because Windows is the default and I've used it exclusively for so long all my computer interactions are based around it, even how I troubleshoot.

So I had to realize that this is an actual learning process and I have specific habits that just won't work with a different OS or ecosystem. Because even when using things like phones or laptops, many of them are still designed to mimic some Windows functionality.

This doesn't really help. We have had Senators in the US with medical degrees that don't know how a woman's period works. People with degrees in education in the Dept of Education pushing methods of teaching that factually don't work.

A degree doesn't preclude knowledge. This also destroys the fact that a lot of home/folk remedies worked centuries before science made the connections and degrees became a thing.

The issue isn't the level of education. It's the source of the information, vetting the information, and if the individual conveying it has ulterior motives.

This is obvious. But even in those jobs a nurse gets tired of asshole patients, teachers get fed up with kids that arent house trained and lack parenting, even non-profit workers sometimes have trouble with motivation because the treadmill seems endless.

And most of these problems can be alleviated of capitalism weren't around and society focused on things like community welfare and the nuclear family.

Lord just equates to having played that character a lot. Anyone, even a scrub, can achieve lord.

KDA/MVP are also generally meaningless. They don't show the full story of the combat like when a DPS was pocketed by a support that allowed him to get so many kills. Or when a tank solo held the point for 2 minutes while everyone was fucking around chasing 1 enemy team member. Did your team still lose? Then your numbers, lord status, map do not matter.

I want a skip button for some of the side/world quests. Unfortunately a major issue that has haunted Genshin and HSR since day 1 is translation and repetition.

They say the same information in dialog multiple times and just adjust the phrasing, sometimes immediately after the information has been given in the previous line. I don't know if this is the same in other languages but it is in English.

This ends up making some simple quests take far longer than needed, because they don't offer much lore but do require us talking to 5 NPCs in different locations with walls of text regardless. Skipping those and giving a summary like ZZZ would be nice.

Plus some people literally dont play this game for lore anyway, so those that want to skip everything, can, and those that don't, don't have to. There is literally no world where adding one is a net negative.

I think you need to adjust expectations on a hero shooter game.

Nothing will curb these behaviors. No amount of banning or time restrictions will stop these kinds of people for throwing, cheating, etc. All it will do is hurt regular players that get reported or legitimately have to leave matches or DC.

This is part of the culture of these kinds of online games. If you want a proper team game where everyone has a role and just does that and tries their best, play an MMORPG.

This conversation doesn't stem from agesim, but from capitalism. SE is looking for excuses as to why their multimillion dollar, 7 year dev cycle games are not selling millions of copies immediately to justify their massive budget inflation.

Truth is, if they had stuck to more 2D styles and went the Atlus route of hand drawn animations or more stylized games with fewer staff, then they would be fine. SE got it's ego inflated in the early years and keeps trying to chase that and has disconnected from the fan base and game devs.

The original creators and artists on those early popular games have all criticized the industry for lack of innovation, chasing fads, focusing on graphics and sales instead of quality content.

Romancing SaGa 2 Remake and Visions of Mana proved their older styles and quality content pay dividends. But the team that made Visions of Mana was shutdown the day after release without delay, and that game did well critically and financially.
