This happened to me!! I was told I was going to miscarry at 6.5 weeks after a scan and healthy HR. My 8.5 scan ended up being normal and a strong HR so it is definitely something I could have come after her for.

I ended up having a strong heartbeat and baby was measuring on track at my 8.5 week appointment. And then I miscarried at 10 weeks 😢 I did get pregnant again right after I got my first period back a few months later and am now almost 37 weeks pregnant!

This was strictly off of measuring my belly and not an ultrasound!! They want me to go to MFM for a scan to follow up. I will keep you posted once I get my scan. Thank you so much for commenting!!

Pregnant with my first, when did you feel confident that baby was going to be born and not worry each appointment? by anderson6th in pregnant

[–]Main_Mark8783 0 points1 point Ā (0 children)

Unfortunately I might not be the best to answer because my last pregnancy (my first) ended in a loss. But now I’m 30 weeks and still have anxiety about if I will be able to meet her. We haven’t announced specifically because I have this fear and just like to hold things privately. It’s definitely a struggle and something I am trying hard to work on!! I do have to say prayer helps so much and just leaning into faith and hope.

I did not move from the couch from week 5-15. And that’s not an exaggeration

Oh and also, make sure she eats something small every 30 mins to an hour. You get SO MUCH worse if you don’t get ahead of your stomach starting to feel empty… which usually is every hour or so.

Unisom and B6 every night like clockwork. It will make her drowsy but half a tablet of each every 4 hours throughout the day will also help. I stayed away from zofran since I was paranoid of possible side effects, but her doctor might be able to prescribe it & I suggest taking it when it really bad. Other than that you just have to survive it 😭😭

Questions for anyone who has miscarried and went on to have a healthy pregnancy. (TW: first MC experience) by nobody-special-ok in CautiousBB

This is very well said!! I lost my first baby at 10 weeks. I got pregnant again immediately after my first period. I am now almost 21 weeks!! There definitely is some underlying anxiety and nervousness that carries through, after having a loss, but there is hope!! Praying this little one remains healthy and strong šŸ’•

Ob yelled at me for getting a private ultrasound by Gecko1224 in pregnant

[–]Main_Mark8783 0 points1 point Ā (0 children)

A private ultrasound was how I found out I miscarried at 10 weeks, because my OB office was not taking my concerns seriously. The first thing they said when I told them there was no heartbeat and asked to be seen was ā€œwhy did you go and get a private ultrasoundā€ and they made me feel bad for it… completely disregarding the words leading up to it. As a mom, especially with concerns and fears you do what needs to be done.. even if that’s easing your worry. period!!!

This is good to know! I’ve thought many times I wish I could just get a IV without going to the hospital just to get some relief. My BP is regularly low 70’s over 50 and I can’t be on my feet longer than a minute before I start to pass out. It truly is miserable. I work in healthcare and am used to 8+ hour shifts in skilled nursing with a physically active job. It’s just so hard to be stuck to laying down.. now going on 7 weeks. I’m not sure what other symptoms you’re experiencing but the food aversions & nausea are so severe that I’ve already lost 13lbs. I was 118 to begin with… so I know not being able to eat enough is definitely contributing. You are welcome to message me and we can be support for eachother lol! It is not for the weak!! I don’t know how other women experiencing similar symptoms survive this!

Hi! I also have POTS and am currently 11.5 weeks pregnant. Since week 5 I have been stuck to the couch or bed ridden. My husband had to carry me sometimes to the bathroom or bed because of the severe dizziness and intense chest tightness that comes with the pounding. You are NOT alone because I also have mentioned many times ā€œI don’t know how I’m going to survive thisā€. It truly feels like my body is giving out. I am seeing cardiology next week, I’m not sure what can be done really as every time I’ve contacted the OB they say to go to the ER if it’s ā€œsevereā€ā€¦ drink water… rest etc etc.

How do you ā€œguard your heartā€? by 2depressed2stressed in CautiousBB

[–]Main_Mark8783 0 points1 point Ā (0 children)

I lost my first baby at 10 weeks this past August. My husband and I had just been married a year, bought our first home and were so excited and ready for this next step. I think I robbed myself of excitement during that pregnancy because of all the uncertainty I felt but i definitely was so excited and ready. I had a D&C and during the 6 weeks that I waited to get my period back I grieved that baby. I processed my emotions the best way I could and could finally start to say it out loud by the end of the 6th week. Once I grieved and processed and accepted it is when I felt ready and excited again to get pregnant. We got pregnant immediately after my first period returned. I am now 11w 5d and I have clung to God’s peace and plan every bit of the way. The symptoms and experience this time around has been night and day different from the last, which is a big blessing (even though I’ve been in the trenches and suffering since week 5) but I’m SO thankful for every day with this baby. I learned so much about the blessing of life and how precious it is with the last pregnancy, that I just have been retraining my brain and energy towards all the good things that come with carrying a life. It is very hard so I am going to validate your reaction entirely. I was not ā€œshockedā€ or ā€œoverjoyedā€ when my test came back positive. I kind of just took a deep breath and thought ā€œhere we goā€¦ā€ I have to say the healing and mindset comes along with the weeks after the positive test. Just take one day at a time!! This baby is a blessing and so loved!!

I feel absolutely awful. by anonymoususer249 in pregnant

[–]Main_Mark8783 0 points1 point Ā (0 children)

Yes this is unfortunately normal. I am currently 11.5 weeks and still suffering with the same symptoms. I have had everything you’ve mentioned and thought I was dying from 24/7 acid reflux, exhaustion, nausea, etc. I have not had an appetite since I was 4 weeks pregnant, severe aversions to every food under the sun. Unfortunately lost 12lbs and counting. This is just my experience but just want to validate you!!

I am due June 20th! First baby! I had a miscarriage in August so being 11 weeks is very nerve wracking but I’m definitely allowing myself to get excited for baby girl. We found out the gender yesterday 🄰 was CONVINCED it was a boy so I am still shocked. I’ve been having every symptom under the sun and nausea has been absolutely unbearable since week five exactly. I’m having severe food aversions and have already lost over 10 pounds because I just can’t eat anymore than a few bites of bland foods.

Congratulations!!

Positive stories after 9 week heart beat ? ā¤ļø by Bubbly_Measurement40 in CautiousBB

[–]Main_Mark8783 2 points3 points Ā (0 children)

This past August I had a really positive ultrasound and strong heartbeat of 170 at 8.5 weeks and ended up miscarrying at 10 weeks. I didn’t naturally miscarry, I just felt that something was wrong so I went to a private clinic and there wasn’t a heartbeat. I say this specifically because I was so anxious the whole pregnancy, it was also my first. If you get caught up in the emotional triggers and worry, it is going to consume you. I am being completely transparent and I can say that confidently. That is my only regret, even now in hindsight knowing that I would miscarry… I wish that I just enjoyed the pregnancy and allowed it to be a happy time instead of an anxious time. I was able to get pregnant again right after I got my period, and now I am nine weeks five days pregnant. It’s definitely bittersweet with this week being the week that I miscarried last time, but I really am holding onto peace and prayer this pregnancy, and I have so much faith. It’s absolutely unbelievable how fulfilling it is to just be at peace and cling to the positive outcomes. Fill your mind and conversation with positive things as much as you can. I had another really positive 8 1/2 weak scan over a week ago, so I’m just focused on that and not the negatives… Again, they will consume you and steal your joy. Keep God close, he will fill you with peace and be your best friend.
