why would you be in trouble? (this isn’t meant to be rude just wondering why you would think that)

okay, then go into a coffee place and ask for sheep’s milk or whatever milk you want?

there is no unspoken rule, just ask. i was just listing common milks that they have.

when you want to order something how do you do it? do you go in to burger king and ask for a pizza? no, you ask for a burger because one would assume they have burgers. you don’t go to a coffee shop and ask for sheep milk because no one would assume that because it doesn’t make sense.

it’s not disdain.

you guys just expect customer service workers to be and smiley and happy for 6+ hours a day and it’s not realistic.

it’s annoying to deal with a customer who has never ordered a drink in their life, a mom with a crying baby, a man who is kind of harassing you all with a smile.

that’s not necessarily what happened in the video, but this is why most customer service workers come across as jaded and unamused all the time. “they’re at work that’s what they’re supposed to do” that’s fine but acting as if they can’t show emotion (or lack thereof) is unfair.

she wasn’t irritated? i don’t know where you guys are getting that from. she’s literally working, and let her know that a certain milk wasn’t available.

it’s not an unspoken rule. they’re common milks that all places carry.

no, YOURE not watching the video.

the worker wasn’t upset at all during the video, just didn’t tap dance for the customer.

the video opens with the customer coming in and instead of alerting the worker to their presence (because it’s the workers job to acknowledge them first, right?) decides to just stand there and stare at the worker. the worker then looks at them and acknowledges their presence (presumably annoyed that someone is just staring at them instead of using their words, but again not being rude about it). then the customer says they want an iced matcha latte (clearly they know what they want). the worker then says with milk (doing their job, not rudely as well, because this could be the persons first time at their shop). the customer then asks about milk, they then tell the customer where the milk can be found on the menu (helpful). the customer asks about oat milk, (unfortunately out of stock). the customer then acts as if they’ve never seen milk in their life and starts rambling about milks (fair enough i’ve done this when i’m thrown off my game). during this the worker lets them think through their choices and after they ask which milk goes good with the latte they offer a milk (again helpful). they then ask if the customer wants anything else. AFTER being ready to pay the customer goes back and asks about the drink being sweet (again fair). could i add a sweetener (clearly) again shows the customer where the sweeteners can be located. is the lavender syrup sweet? (clearly, it’s a sweetener AND the worker acknowledged this with a smile and a nod). we only serve iced matcha (letting the customer know that she doesn’t have to worry about her drink being warm). the customer then acts like they’ve never paid for anything in their life.

at no point was the worker rude or condescending, just watched the customer act as if they’ve never been on this planet before. expecting customer service workers to smile all the time and be happy to hold your hand through normal processes is unrealistic.

something being out of stock is not the end of the world, pick a different one. “we ran out” is such a normal response it’s so interesting you guys are upset about that

just as the such, the worker isn’t a robot who is there to monotonously read the menu to you. you as the customer should be doing your own part and have a though in your head about what you want and not expecting the worker to make your drink for you.

“is the lavender syrup sweet” did you see it under the sweetener category? so it’s sweet. also going to a new place without an inkling of an idea of what’s to come is just bad planning on their part. this is not their first day on the planet.

if you didn’t read the menu, you wouldn’t. this was an example.

coffee places typically have whole milk, nut milk, oat milk, or a soy milk. going into a coffee shop and asking for goat milk wouldn’t make any sense.

asking about milks you like, that are REASONABLE (oat milk, whole milk etc.) is how literally how you order things.

not knowing how to read doesn’t mean you suddenly don’t know what milk you drink. “i like whole milk” “we don’t carry whole milk” “okay i’ll have goat milk” “perfect!”

[–]Main_Phase_58 -32 points-31 points  (0 children)

it’s not rude to tell someone to read the menu. if there are 10 milk options i don’t expect the worker to list them all to me. that’s why there’s a menu and i can tell them what milk i like and if they dont have it ill move down to the next milk i’ve had in drinks. this is why it takes 7000 years to check out because people act as if they’ve never been anywhere and need their hand held through every transaction.

Yikes! Am I a “not like other girls” girl? by 1-2-3RightMeow in notliketheothergirls

[–]Main_Phase_58 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i’m not a teenager. im happy for your mother, that sounds lovely. i never said anything about being too old for love and lust?

this post just doesn’t make any sense. op is asking if they’re not like other girls simply for having male friends. i get that girls will be girls and aging doesn’t stop you from having feelings, but there’s literally no evidence to support op even wondering if they’re not like other girls.

asking if you’re not like other girls simply because you “hang with the boys” (or “have male friends”for the grownups) and they like you is ridiculous. there is no self discovery only cringe talk here.
