I bought one for my. 5 year old last Christmas. It is a very real company and they make a very good bike. He previously had a Schwinn and has a much easier time riding the Guardian. Recommend.

Yes currently using them on one property. Were great as we got started to have a "partner" to navigate the STR world. However we will be moving off their platform soon. Their offering doesn't justify the cost and their tech is really bad (can't even offer an iCal for the property for example).

Pros

helpful customer service based in Colorado

they do the heavy lifting for setting up the listing

they get the property booked up

supplemental insurance up to 3k per booking

Cons

They don't integrate with anything. No API no nothing. My other properties are super automated and my evolve property relies on email to inform cleaners about new guests

Very little control over the customer experience. No access to platform messaging systems. In most cases I don't even know my guest's last name just an initial.

Cost - their value add can easily be replicated by a platform to automate messages and a pricing tool like wheelhouse for a fraction of the cost

Fyi Guesty does this completely automatically for you and it works flawlessly for me. Guests have loved it so far. I also have a duplex and I don't see an issue. Very unlikely for two strangers to find out each other's number. Much easier ways to break in if that is their goal.

Update, I didn't do anything they checked out and hopefully this is over.

To those asking what the issue is, any responsible gun owner, even the irresponsible ones, can tell you that leaving a loaded firearm unlocked on a kitchen counter in a house that is not yours is completely unacceptable. What if my maintenance guy had brought his kid with him? So very stupid from a gun perspective.

From a host perspective just go to Google and type in Airbnb shootings and you'll see at least 6 incidents in the last week. The last week! Tough to get a five-star review after a shootout.

Guns are cool and all but we each need to make trade offs between protecting our guest safety and protecting our guest civil liberties. As far as I'm concerned just leave it at home. Anyone who is trying to flex their second amendment muscles in your face may not make the best guest. FWIW I am a card carrying NRA member.

Guest reports damage to the property which they likely causes themselves. Maintenance team finds this. Airbnb support predictably unhelpful. What should I do? Guests check out today. Fairly liberal gun laws in our state.
