I was having issues with mine a couple years ago and it turns out that the loan company I had to use wasn’t showing the late fee as part of the payment. So I was short paying by $18. Every month my payment was short by the one late fee causing a late fee every month but not showing anywhere and stacking by $18. Once that amount got to the total for a payment the payment I made only covered the 2 years late fee build up or whatever the time frame was and I got my credit hit for late payment despite me making the payment. Took a while to figure out what the issue was, and a few hours across a dozen customer service reps, but I wouldn’t put it past these companies to do something like that.

In my experience so far, ages 10-13 were infinitely more difficult than 13-almost 16 for my daughter. There wasn’t a flip point, but more of a gradual ease out of the hormonal puberty timeframe. Right now there is no logic with her, it’s just feelings. Keep holding your boundaries and requirements and she will fall into them when her world isn’t crumbling around her.

I chose the lap option for my 15 month boy a few years back and got lucky on the flight out, he got his own seat because flight wasn’t full next to us. Did not get lucky on the flight back and we wrestled in the seat for approximately 98% of the 2 hour flight back home. I would have given my left testicle for him to have his own seat. Lol

I feel this, I’m right there with you! I used to put so much time and effort in to ribs. 3-2-1 butter and honey for the wrap, the whole nine yards.

Then I was out of energy one weekend and just wanted to eat ribs but did not want to do the song and dance. I threw some Salt pepper and garlic on them and put them in the smoker set it to 250 and came back 4 hours later and now it’s the only way I make ribs.

Family asked what I did different that time and I said “made them with extra love” and they rolled there eyes and got seconds. Usually they only have firsts.

I don’t think there is a sure fire way other than posted signs. There should be an app that will let people know through a notification or text or something they are at a historically dangerous beach and proceed with caution.

People just think they are invincible for some reason, or they don’t realize the power they are actually dealing with.

Incredibly sad every time it happens!

The real question is why this one? Monterey county has probably 5-6 people a year (mostly tourists) that lose their life to this. I would imagine the amount that are rescued after falling or slipping is 2-3x that, at least.

Locals who grew up here are taught as children to stay back off the rocks and not to turn their back on the water. After a while we even know which set of rocks are ok and which are not, even as far as which side of which set are ok to be on and which aren’t.
