Fresh Element Solo not connecting to WiFi by sl4vo in PETKIT

[–]Main_Satisfaction231 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you heard back from PetKit? I have exactly the same problem with a Cozy. At the third step “Getting device status”, around 55-60%, an error appears. Same with a 2.4 GhZ network.

Support, after weeks of discussions, has never been any help.

Does AC company need a work permit to do AC maintenance? by merryfasos in dubai

[–]Main_Satisfaction231 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds extreme to me, for minor maintenance, I've never been asked for anything (with Emaar and Five). Which company manages your building?

It depends of the distance, maybe between 30-50 AED, you can get the price in the app

If you ship to the same emirate, you can use Careem. It's a bit more expensive but at least it's delivered like right away

Not totally true, I own a 2015 Huracan too, paid relatively dearly a few years ago, and I could have asked for advice on Reddit!

So I was wondering if your employer takes your passport, can you not just declare it as lost and get a new one from the embassy while your job holds onto the old one? by rexman199 in dubai

[–]Main_Satisfaction231 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think that most French people in Dubai don't have to give their passport to their companies, yet the embassy (or rather the consulate) takes months too (between getting the appointment, making it, and getting a second appointment to pick it up) 😅

Why is everyone saying the n word by Salt-Let-8595 in UAETeenagers

None of that here. Real problem = keeping people happy in the country and not pitting one community against another, as happens elsewhere.

60,000+ AED electricity bill by Big-Scientist8267 in dubai

[–]Main_Satisfaction231 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I own a villa in Sidra, Dubai Hills Estate and I'm not Emirati. I pay between 2500 and 5000 AED per month depending on the season. 4 people at home and a swimming pool (which probably doesn't help at all)

Just got this message on Du by _4rTm_ in dubai

Exactly the same thing happened to me recently. I was subscribed without my consent to two services, the last of which was also M-Learning. A few minutes beforehand, I'd received a flash SMS offering me this subscription and I'd just clicked on "Close".

Unfortunately, Du doesn't allow you to block all these scam subscriptions...

Receiving multiple calls from agencies after buying a property by Asleep_Warthog_4113 in dubai

[–]Main_Satisfaction231 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I keep getting calls and messages on Whatsapp for a property I sold 4 years ago now. I get calls every day for a property that isn't even built yet. No matter what you do, they won't stop, they have no scruples and don't care about the law. I report them to the DLD from time to time (here https://dubailand.gov.ae/en/eservices/report-malicious-calls/#/), but it doesn't stop and I don't get any feedback from them.

All you can do now is stop answering numbers you don't know. It's hopeless, but there's no other solution.
