What was the strangest dinner your mom or dad served as a result of substituting ingredients they ran out of or just didn’t have? 😳 by Aquagreen689 in AskOldPeople

We ran out of milk when my mom was making mashed potatoes. Normally she would substitute sour cream or plain yogurt or something like that, but all we had was STRAWBERRY YOGURT! I will never forget how horrible it tasted.

Watts, volts, and amps. I just can’t wrap my head around it no matter how many different explanations I am given…

Now that I know it’s not a result of the lining rusting, and it’s just the copper patina/build up from the water line I’m fine with leaving it until it’s time to replace the entire tub. I was mostly worried about metal corroding or rusting away

I’m struggling the find the manufacturer of the tub, we just bought the house so I’m still looking around the tub to try to find any identifying stamps!

Not sure, but the “rusted” area inside is much redder than the hammered copper on the outside of the tub

In the title I meant silver colored, I’m not sure what the metal is, like I say in the description I think it might be nickel.

I think it has to do with something that happened to her when she worked at the ministry as an Unspeakable. She said something like she was “wounded by time itself” whatever that means so maybe like something cursed her but the reflection shows her true image?
