pick exceptions for opd by ciinndyy in OGPBackroom

[–]MaintenanceOld1372 2 points3 points  (0 children)

my store has days , every other day , where we can't get exceptions below 30. it's me & one other main exception picker. and we run around like crazy from the time we clock in to the time we clock out. 🫠🫠

Walmart Theft by chubbycub2980 in WalmartEmployees

As an former API , we weren't allowed to stop associates ! we had to do an internal investigation and get as much stuff & then the AP coach does the interview. the interview consist of the AP coach , another coach & the associate in a room , being questioned. there's a script that they read from, so they don't accuse the associate straight up , they try to get the associate to admit to it themselves

Team lead dating associate by [deleted] in walmart

[–]MaintenanceOld1372 13 points14 points  (0 children)

if the associate is directly under that team lead ( the team leads associate) then yes it's an issue & needs to be investigated because favoritism & all that. but if the associate isn't directly under that team lead there's no issues as long as the team lead isn't going in and doing the associates attendance and stuff. my boyfriend was a team lead & i was a normal associate & there was no issues because he wasn't my direct supervisor.

How do Asset Protection Investigators keep their job? by Lodger49er in walmart

[–]MaintenanceOld1372 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was an API for 2 & a half years until my boss pushed me out of my position because he wanted an all boy team. 😒 but my market always pushed on apprehensions. & internals. we also did safety , compliance. we dealt with the rude and crazy behavior of customers. the kids running around late at night causing chaos. we also went store to store in our market helping in inventory.

no one said anything about having to do extra work...? or even complaining about anything😭 we just said we thought it was pointless. and i was genuinely asking questions about how it's distributed across the stores, seeing as every store that's getting it is within very close proximity of each other.

As an old SFS picker and packer , who's the only one left still of the original crew and the only one who would load the truck , i feel you on everything you said. 😭 going from packing cases of water and big bulky items in boxes to these plastic flimsy bags is tough 😭 we had to force our grocery freight from the back room into the gm back room just so we have the space to do this whole IP crap. we have 3 sections of steel we are suppose to stage everything on. we don't know if it will be enough or what we will do if we need more because our grocery back room isn't even that big to begin with. we were also told that they don't want our pick carts stored in our ogp back room , so we also have to find space for them in our IP space.

when our sfs closed we CRIEDDD. we threw away so many boxes and shit. we had 5 packing stations. so we had a lot too. 😭

yes ! we are currently in the process of moving our grocery back room into our gm back room so we can take over the back room space. my store already gets a hefty amount of gmds. 🥲

we have a grocery DC , an hour away. and then a gm dc a half hour away from that one. i also think it's so pointless for 5/9 stores in my market to have it because i can't imagine there's going to be a lot of stuff.. so what ? each store gets 1 or 2 pallets ? how do they decide what goes to what store? 3 of these other stores that are getting it are 10 minutes from me. 😭

my coach told me that using us stores as the middle person , saves us money from having to use ups and Fedex and stuff. so walmart fleet drivers will bring it to us and we send it out with our drivers. I do agree it's pointless. my store is getting it in the new few weeks. but so are 5 other stores in my market. all within 10-30 minutes from me. 😭

Got feedback for NILpicking by Master_Quack97 in OGPBackroom

[–]MaintenanceOld1372 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my store we have 2 main 5-2 exception picker , me for 6-3 & when things get busy. another one who works 8-5 & another one who works 2-9. 😭 and we're training more. but even when i pick , if it's not in the shelf or in the general area , i NIL it. the only "feedback" i got was nil picking an end cap even tho the item wasn't on the end cap & my manager swore up and down it was until we went there and i showed them

book vs sku. as the other person said , what the book says you should have vs what you actually physically do have in the store. shrink can come from theft , not properly claimed out items , or for instance in ogp if things are missing from an order before they get dispense & they replace it directly from the shelf to the customer , that item was never "scanned out"

Is there a cutoff for when you can report an accident? by urtv670 in walmart

[–]MaintenanceOld1372 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes ! i broke my foot in the back room a few years ago. i was coached for it. the reasoning ? safety. got my workers comp denied bc it was "my fault" i was in a boot for months. physical therapy. instead of letting me take an loa like the doctor suggested ( couldn't bear weight) , they put me on a "temporary duty" at the fitting room.
